Hello!! 'Tis Stellar, the one trying to run this mess. I will not be able to be here for a while, so this is on HIATUS!! I'm not dead, the others aren't dead (yet), and this will be picked back up!! Someday. In the far future... So please be patient, or at least understand I can't reach this for a while!! Super gomen!!
“Where’s your… {Difference}?” Miles asked impatiently. Actually, at some point he started petting Near’s head. His voice was starting to pick up the oddest accent, sharpening some words over others. “We don’t always react the same to each and every, of course not! It would be most inconvenient for Patterns to arise, and naturally you two have quite the {Difference} indeed. The other one is… drier? Yes, drier and more ice to your snow. Do you know what I mean?” Whoa there, Miles, calm down. Don’t expect the other to have any clue of what you’re saying right now.
Miles just didn’t make sense. “My difference? Wha’ difference? T’ what?” He was being pet, and that was confusing, weird, they weren’t that close. Near wondered if he should pull away and withdraw until Miles made sense, but maybe it was just the alcohol that was doing it. Yeah, that was probably it. “My snow? Ice? I don’ geddit…” Near didn’t like being confused. He really, really didn’t.
"Well, you'll meet him soon enough. Of course, I wish it were in better circumstances, without that disgusting beast in play. The other you, the... hmm. I would say "elder" but that isn't quite true, now is it? Both of you R- ...Nears, at least, carry the same ground root to a certain degree. But, you see, the respondent K- Mellos vary as well, such an interesting Match..." Miles, ya NEARly slipped up with their names! Ya dingdong! He drinks, lightly. He doesn't seem to have drunk enough to be rambling so, what was going on?
Miles frowned, catching him with too many hands. “…Forgive me…” Then he kissed Near. Hard. His real hands cradled his head and body carefully as the false ones seeped through his clothes, gently probing the skin for wounds. Meanwhile, Miles clinically started drawing in the remaining toxin(s) from Near’s body to his own, making sure to see if Near was still conscious.
He didn’t hit the ground, that was a good thing, but it took him far too long to recognize that it was because of Miles reaching out to catch him. Forgive, wh- Near yelped as he was kissed, but his body was too weak to shove Miles away from him or even do more than tug minutely away from the hands holding him. There were hands all over him, why? How, what was Miles doing? He couldn’t, he needed to… He was feeling better, though, odd…
Miles pulled away, still holding him as his false hands Pulled a vial and syringe out of the air. "...I really do hope you forgive my transgression." Well, at least he identified that the toxins used here were well treatable by his standards. He started administering the antitoxin, gently petting Near's head. "It will be okay."
Miles seemed to almost not hear his call, flickering sparks of violet and other colors trailing around his arms. “Why are you up, Near?” Nice. Evasion.
Once they both were fully inside, Near paused in his movements. Grey eyes squinted and it was in that moment he realized he hadn’t a clue where Miles room was. As long as he’s been here, too…
Well, looks as if it’s going to be his own room then.
It took him no time to find the room. Honestly, it was one of the few rooms that were easiest to locate. And he didn’t think that solely because it belonged to him.
Pushing the door open, he all but dragged Miles inside. “Sleep.” He even pointed to the bed for emphasis.
Miles stayed still, fingers twitching while he waited for Near to let go. He certainly wasn't hoping Near would offer to stay, nope, not at all, amirite?? Increasingly signs of exhaustion were creeping up on him as he slowly lost the ability to hide his physical state. Also, he was starting to feel hungry. Hmm. A... /certain/ type of hungry.
💊- Miles paused, taking in the faintest sound of pain, and carefully made his way to a narrow alley nearby. "..."
Near did his best to keep his balance, but it was difficult, more than difficult, this was harder than it should have been. He wasn’t strong enough to pull himself around properly, either, so he just clung to a pipe on the building beside him in an effort to keep himself from falling. “…’llo?”
Narrowed violet eyes swept over his form as Miles appeared behind Near, hands (not his, these were translucent and neatly cut off at the wrists) reaching out to steady him, check his pulse, and pull him closer. “Near. Do you know what’s wrong right now?”
He was being moved? It took a long moment for Near’s eyes to focus on the man in front of him, they simply didn’t want to. He didn’t like not having control over his body, of all things. “I… ‘m nod sure… ‘s all…” It felt as though his knees were giving out, was he falling? Near was falling.
Miles frowned, catching him with too many hands. "...Forgive me..." Then he kissed Near. Hard. His real hands cradled his head and body carefully as the false ones seeped through his clothes, gently probing the skin for wounds. Meanwhile, Miles clinically started drawing in the remaining toxin(s) from Near's body to his own, making sure to see if Near was still conscious.
“No, no, you know what I mean. It’s Written all over your {tags}. I know your name, over the alias you bear, and the house you’ve left along with the others. You will succeed in your endeavor, you often do in these Prima timelines.” He sighed, hand hovering above Near’s head. “Strange, is it not?”
“My tags? Wha… I don’ understand… Miles, what…” He was the perfect image of confusion, because he truly had no idea of what was being requested of him. What did Miles want from him?
"Where's your... {Difference}?" Miles asked impatiently. Actually, at some point he started petting Near's head. His voice was starting to pick up the oddest accent, sharpening some words over others. "We don't always react the same to each and every, of course not! It would be most inconvenient for Patterns to arise, and naturally you two have quite the {Difference} indeed. The other one is... drier? Yes, drier and more ice to your snow. Miles seemed to almost not hear his call, flickering sparks of violet and other colors trailing around his arms. “Why are you up, Near?” Nice. Evasion.
Miles /jolted/ (touch T O U C H he hasn’t felt- he hasn’t felt for so-), and a shudder ran through his body. “Please let go.” He muttered through grit teeth. His body was trembling finely. “I’m fine. You go back inside, I’ll stay here.” Yet, slowly, he was letting himself be tugged. Barely. By maybe roughly a foot.
“No.” He noted the shaking, solidifying that he would get him inside one way or another. His grip tightened slightly and he continued on with his pulling. “Stop lying to me.” Near is honestly surprised Miles is even letting him do this. He expected him to put up more of a fight. “We can either both go inside or stay outside. No matter what you choose, you’re still going to rest.”
It’s not that Miles /didn’t/ want to fight. Rather, he was trying to conserve already drained magic and energy reserves as he got slowly dragged towards the door. “…” Besides, Near was /touching/ him and he knew he wouldn’t be able to pull away. He wanted… What did he want…?
“I’m taking your silence as a sign you’re going to listen.” Finally, he reached the door and made the move to open it. A bit difficult with one hand, but he managed just fine. He turned to look at Miles and flashed a gentle smile, stepping inside while still keeping a firm hold on his hand.
His touch was gentle fire, sparking along his skin as Miles took a (shaky) deep breath. Look, this touchstarved lil' dingdong is being TOUCHED by (his /croosh/) somebody, and he won't be leaving annnytime soon. "......" He muttered under his breath. "........." His eyes were lilac now, no trace of magic around his body.
"Of course!" They hummed as they made their way back to the apartment. "Make sure to share, okay?" The sounds of children laughing were reaching their ears.
