fortnite nonsense with a friend. this screenshot gave me such a strong urge to draw something before getting back to work.

my headcanon is that one jax is completely fucking unhinged, while the other is terrified of absolutely everything. and it's honestly hard to tell what scares him more — all the chaos they're constantly getting into, or the other jax.

i think it's a little hard for me to point out any fun facts right now, because i distanced myself from The Amazing Digital Circus for quite a while. but now that episode 9 is out, i decided to dive back into this wonderful series and started rewatching all the episodes... and i really hope my funnybunny hyperfixation comes back, because it's kind of therapeutic.

overall, i think Jax and Pomni's relationship can be a bit toxic, but in a way where Jax is still capable of meeting her halfway, slowly opening up and learning to trust her. outside of that, i also love noticing little details from the show itself, like how Jax sometimes mirrors Pomni's gestures, and she does the same with him.

i also like the idea of Jax being a crossdresser (especially considering his insecurities about his masculinity). maybe Pomni would dress him up in either his room or hers, and they'd spend a lot of quiet time together. it's easier for me to come up with stories directly on the canvas, because i usually don't think through my drawings in my head first... i sort of feel my way toward them while i'm drawing. it's hard to explain.

i feel like Jax would often spend time alone, and Pomni would go looking for him. but at the same time, it could just as easily be that while she's searching for him, he's actually been quietly watching her all along. i generally imagine him observing her from a distance rather than approaching her directly. to me, their connection feels most meaningful in the moments when... the connection doesn't actually happen. there's something about suppressed feelings and unspoken desires that creates such a strong emotional tension, and i love that kind of atmosphere for illustrations of them together.
