Could these two get a grip? One that is not around each other's throats?
Ok, the reality is starting to set in now.
I love TADC so much, but I loved it because I could see Goose in it. Specifically in these shots;
It was just such a treat to watch this and know exactly who it was coming from.
So no matter what happens, I trust Goose’s writing with my life and I have full faith that however this goes, it will be satisfying, thought provoking, and really really strange.
And there she was again. Thank you Gooseworx
What? Did you think I was done theorizing? Why, just cause the show's over? You underestimate me. My name is No Proof for a reason.
I thought perhaps that all the humans minds were scanned at one time and were just on file until a spot opened up for them.
But as you can see here there are only 10 files, and including the main cast, that's not enough. So I think these files are Kinger, Queenie, Scratch, the worm on a string, the dinosaur, the mouse thing, and the... uhh
Whatever the fuck this poor bastard was.
However, that's only eight characters. So who were the last two? Well, Kinger has two daughters right?
Perhaps at the time they were scanned, they were too young to have sufficient enough data for Caine to make them their own bodies. This would explain why, even when Caine was quote "running out of humans", he didn't use the remaining two mind files.
It's possible one of these files was Ragatha. But based on how much time had passed between Queenie abstracting and Ragatha's arrival, Caine certainly would've given her a body by then. And he wouldn't have had this reaction.
He was surprised that there was "a new one". So obviously he thought he had used up all the materials he had access to already.
My other theory for this predicament is that Caine failed twice to make proper bodies for the files. Or he somehow made them unusable.
As we saw, Caine requires a lot of trail and error to get where he's trying to go. So it's very likely that he tried to do something with the first file and ended up ruining it. Only to try again with the second and ruin that one too. It wasn’t until he got to Scratch's file that he had a handle on what he was trying to do, and so managed to make a successful adaptation of the file.
Now this scene might imply that Scratch (Mike Dobby) was Caine's first attempt at adapting a mind file into a body. But we don't actually know that. It could've easily skipped ahead. And as you can see, there are only 7 files in this shot. We know he at least got 8 up and running, but again, there are two files unaccounted for.
In this case those two missing/ruined files could've been literally anyone in the entire world, so there's no use trying to figure out names.
But what do you think? Are the 9th and 10th files Kinger and Queenie's daughters? Or did Caine destroy two files through trail and error on his first couple attempts at adapting them? Or was this just a continuity error? I guess we'll have to wait and se- oh wait, I uh, shit. I guess we'll never actually know.
Sorry I'm posting a lot all in a row. I've been holding it in for a long time and I only just now have the screenshots and permission to yap
Anyone else caught completely off guard by this? Because my entire theater burst into laughter
Also here's this. From an AU where Pomni said what she was thinking.
I mean, look at her
That is the face of a woman who is actively choosing kindness
Can I talk now? Are we in the clear? Good.
When I tell you I burst into tears, I mean I was on the floor shaking and crying.
Just Caine immediately and respectfully acknowledging Jax's abstraction, in such stark contrast to how he treated Kaufmo's abstraction in the first episode. He really did grow up. Look at him, look at my baby, hes such a good boy im going to cry forever oh my god. I'm so sorry I ever hated him, he didn't know what he was doing
Forgot to say this earlier but I had another tadc dream last night where the youtube finale was different from the theatrical finale.
It was so awsome when Jax got out a gun and tried to shoot everyone but then Pomni and Ragatha blocked all the bullets with the power of yuri and Kinger looked directly into the camera and said pog so that we would know he's pogging because he doesn’t have a mouth
Y'all remember when Gravity Falls predicted Doki Doki Literature Club and FNAF?
Well add another to the list
God it is so weird not being able to watch it again and go through the little details. Every episode prior I've clicked through frame by frame but I can't do that today.
God hath smiled upon us. More than expected. I am thankful and joyous but also surprised. I will talk about it when it comes out on youtube, so stay tuned!
Almost three years ago, my brother insisted that I watch a new indi show that had just come out. I had seen teasers for it and thought it looked childish and stupid. I knew my brother probably only liked it because he has a weird obsession with clowns.
Then he told me it was written by Gooseworx. Gooseworx? The same person who made Darly Boxman, Blackhole Blitz, and the classic Little Runmo? Ok, maybe I'll give it a try. It's only like 20 minutes long, how bad could it-
Holy shit
My brother bought me a ticket to get on this crazy train, and so I've bought us tickets to see it in theaters tonight. Thank you Goose, thank you my brother. I hope tonight is as good as I've built it up to be, I'm sure it will. But I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Here we go gang. My very last Digital Circus theory post (minus the bingo sheet that I will post tomorrow before the big event).
#1: I think the Digital Copies theory is the most likely thing to be happening. Especially since episode seven basically debunked all the other theories we had.
#2: I'm locking in Jax for abstraction. I think despite the overwhelming proof to the contrary, he is unwilling to believe that anyone actually wants him around. Also, I don't know who else it would be. Also, all the teasers and promotional stuff have had him front and center, depressed, and/or purposefully on his own accord separated from the group.
SOMEONE has to abstract. You cannot show me such a shiny gun in the first episode and not pull the trigger. I don't care who you hit but it better hit someone.
#3: I think Caine and Bubble are going to stay dead, but I do think we will get some flashbacks of them. Which is fine by me.
#4: We're going to find out what's beyond the void. Personally I like the idea of a databank that holds the rest of the cast's memories. This would include their names and information pertaining to what they are (if they turn out to be digital copies).
Now if I am to connect these dots into an actual episode outline, I would say that the cast will spend a bit processing what just happened, likely accompanied by several flashbacks. Then they will venture out into the void to try and find something or make one last escape attempt, as Caine is not there to stop them. Once at the end of the void they will find the databank, remember their names, remember who they were, and finally, realize that they are only copies of real people and in fact can never leave the circus.
This will undoubtedly cause a massive amount of despair for a little bit. But everyone will eventually come to grips with this new reality. Paired with their newfound conjuring abilities, it may not be so bad after all. Ahem, except for a certain ill-adjusted purple bitch.
Jax I think will take this information extremely poorly. Not just because it's an inherently upsetting idea, but because he was right again. It wasn’t real, he's not real, which to him means that nothing, not even himself, matters. He will become an even bigger antagonist than he already is and descend into total madness. Eventually abstracting after being unwilling to see another point of view, or connect with anyone else.
But that's a very sad end to Jax's story. We, and the characters themselves, don't want to lose Jax. So if I'm to come up with a happy, or at least neutral ending, the darkness calms down the abstracted. The whole circus is dark so maybe with enough calm exposure to those who have not abstracted, they can sort of interact in a meaningful sense. They won't be the same, but they won't be gone completely.
Personally I don't think that'll happen but I guess it's possible.
But we'll just have to wait and see.
