Yeah who wouldn't? Although...what? He didn't even notice, he was passed out most of my childhood. Long story. But by the time I came back he forgot I left in the first place. Besides, I did him a favor, I took a car from a drunk. I lowered the chance of him killing himself - and I had fun along the way.

Now who appears to be worrying? I am fine, Noah, really. No suicidal thoughts and my kitchen knives are comparably unsharp. So, everything is going great even though that just sounded very weird. Don’t listen to me.

Damage Case || Noah and Carla

Secretly, even though Carla didn‘t intend on telling him, she was glad that he thought the way he did. Changing for the sake of others and not your own was simply a waste of time. And if someone knew that then it was her, after having tried so hard to be the daughter her father had wished for which led to her escaping her home country, a decision that still felt like a stab in her heart and yet it had been inevitable. “The truth is always gross.“ Carla told him, smirking amusedly at the man‘s shock before shrugging at his question. “Actually, I do. But I wouldn‘t call Bruto a pet. He may look like a dog but he is much more than that. I even bet he is smarter than you with your degree and all.“ Carla liked to think of her dog as being a rather intelligent creature. He - unlike humans - knew when to comfort her and when to leave her alone and if he could bring her coffee, booze and food Carla was sure she would claim that David was an unnecessary bad.

“You shouldn‘t throw around the L word like that.“ Carla huffed, crossing her arms in front of her chest after she got her clothes back in order once he was done. “You better come back again and get me a cup unless you want me to hunt you down and commit murder.“ the brunette called after him, suddenly finding herself alone in her room.

He smiled wondering what she was thinking at the moment. He wasn't gonna be the one to stop her silence by asking questions so he just admired mute girl for a second. All good things end fast so it wasn't surprising that she decided to answer him a moment after. Well point out the obvious at least. "Not necessarily. Truth can be great...though mostly it is gross, and mostly you really don't wanna know." he washed his hands in antiseptic and shoved them in his pockets. Very unprofessional, but nobody cared. "Bruto? What a name." he let out the small laugh. He always laughed to names people gave to their pets. Mostly cause they were silly, like Rex, or Berry or something like that, and even when owners didn't decide to go all mainstream on names they still had to name them so they gave them people names and it was really funny watching a guy chase a dog named Michael through the park. Now, Noah pulled himself together and continued. "Dogs are smart creatures. And they look at you like they understand everything, but don't say a word. It's really nice to have someone who understands but doesn't make you talk about it. Is it not?" 

"Oh that word lost it's meaning to me long time ago, I can throw it around all I want." he copied her move and crossed his arms on his chest. When she gave him an order to bring coffee or she'll commit homicide, he smiled. "I'd love to." sarcastic grin came to his face and he started walking towards the door. "Unless you wanna jump into the wheelchair and come with me. I mean, I'd hate to see what would happen to me if your coffee came back cold."

If that’s what you want. As long as you remember that promises are meant to be kept, that is. I’ve been fine. Actually, I’ve seen my doctor and made sure this time to have enough pills in the future so I don’t have to put you in a situation like this again.

Yes, some other time. Sure. And I hope so. But let’s be honest, the world is crazy. After all it’s the human race that kills most of its fellow people. Hmm, if you think so then what place would you suggest?

That's true, but it's also humans who tend to save the most as well. Humm, well I haven't really been to many places...actually, I've never been outside New York but this one time when I was a teenager and stole my fathers car and went to Alabama...I'm not sure why I went there but it was fun.

Uhm, okay! We will see if I can take a few days off then, but … no promises. But if I can be of help and you really want me to join you then I can see what I can do. But again, no promises. And I believe you. People make it sound so exciting.

That’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Why should I not worry about you? Isn’t that what friends do? Worry and be there for each other as well as enjoying joined time together? Again, you shouldn’t say such things because it just makes me more concerned.

You shouldn’t ask people to not worry about you because then they do even more. How could I not, anyways? W-we are friends. Or, I don’t know. But I don’t like the idea that you have to figure out something in the first place. Situation like this lead people to do stupid things. Just like getting drunk … S-so, would you mind if I join you and make sure that you will be safe?

I … I don’t think I have anyone to go with. My best friend will most likely not be able to join me since she is busy with work and I … I also didn’t treat her that well lately and at home I have at least Red to keep me company. So, I guess, I will just stay here. Even though I believe you. You don’t strike me as a person who calls something beautiful without truly meaning it.

You definitely have too much faith in me. What would you think if I would claim that quite the opposite is the truth?

Well with planes and all it's not that far - New York, you can go whenever you want. It's a beautiful city really, it's huge.

Well I'm not fine! I - how can she think I'm not ready yet? To go back to work, I mean? I...I fixed my bloody car and I got nowhere to drive it to. I left New York so I can start fresh and now I have to talk about all the things that...doesn't matter, I just find that woman really repulsive.
