Her days were full of worries and paranoia. Despite the news that had arrived through the television, that didn’t seem to share enough to keep everyone well informed. Petra still had a hard time to tell whether she was just hallucinating Damien, or if those times she could actually see him in front of her, were times that she was seeing the real Damien, not just a projection of her mind. Everything was all too much. She was afraid of hurting her new pack and the coven they were allied to. She was scared of trusting the wrong people. Petra was on the edge and she didn’t know exactly how she could fight against it.
Still, she had to work, she tried and failed after the first training class. Seeing Damien in one of the guys that were in the gym, she knew she would have to wait until everything was better. Until she was sane enough to deal with others. Grabbing her back and storming her way out of the gym, Petra sighed. “You should just leave me alone,” she shouted at the voice. Hoping that her own hallucinations would hear it. Even if such plan made no sense at all.
Too busy to look around, she ended up bumping against someone. She had seen the witch before during one of her attempts of trying the nightlife at clubs. At first, Petra thought she was just an hallucination as well, but the moment Maya didn’t disappear, she knew she had to do something that would hardly come out of her mouth: apologize. “I didn’t mean to rush against you. I’m sorry. Are you okay? These days...” Had been weird to say the least, but maybe she didn’t need to share the rest of her sentence. It was clear that Moon Island was going through something extraordinary. Only oblivious people would think that everything was okay.
