Full Moon
"You can go get him if you want."Cici told him. "Just don’t roll around in his guts. I know you do that. Just like Yeti. You two are gross." She said, looking pointedly at the large husky who was laying in his own bed. "You did? Why is that? Just.. a feeling?" She scratched behind his ear then booped him on the nose. Cici laughed and she could tell from his look that he didn’t like her joking about that. "Oh babe, lighten up. Do you lose your sense of humor when your wolf takes over." She teased him and shifted away a bit. She didn’t mind him snuggling, but a little space to breath would be nice."Figures you turn and now I want a bowl of ice cream." She sighed and drummed her fingers against her bump, debating if she wanted to go get it. "What do you think?"
He was unphased by her insult. She'd just never understand what a joy it was, but at least Yeti did. He pushed his wet nose into the palm of her hand as if to return the affectionate boop. His tail wagged harder, making a swishing sound against the sheets when she understood him. Unfortunately he didn't have much of an answer for her, so he bobbed his head once. Being close to his mate was just more important than the thrill of a hunt. I wish I could take you with me on a run. Memories of the night she'd been temporarily transformed into a wolf popped into his mind, and he breathed a wistful sigh. As he was trying to picture a way to get the ice cream up to her, her wriggling fingers caught his attention. It still amazed him that her belly was swelling so, fully of his pups. That thrilled his animal and maybe somewhat neanderthal side to no end. He pressed his nose to her side, sliding the material of her shirt up until his cool nose slid against her bare skin. His tongue flicked out to gently rasp against the bump affectionately. Her words called his attention back to the ice cream dilemma, and he gave her an apologetic head tilt and wolfish grin. Want me to give you a ride down there?, He thought, half-considering it.
