Ossining, NY gallery view. Buddha and Arunachala mountain welded steel wall sculptures. #buddha #yogaart #noahart (at Ossining (town), New York)
Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend. This guy is part of a series of welded steel meditating heart open yogis I recently made. Each one measures about 14" tall and are made to hang on the wall. The little shelf in their chests is great for a candle or keepsake. Just $295 each + shipping. Message me or leave a comment if you would like one. 🙏❤ #yogaart #noahart
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine! 🕯❤
Welding selfies are probably a really bad idea, but thought I’d give it a shot just for you! 💥💥💥
Welding an ear on one of my meditating yogi sculptures. #yogaart
Hanuman block print. Hanuman, the monkey god, is the embodiment of bhakti, devotion, and true selfless love and service to Lord Rama. The son of the Wind, He personifies the perfect yogi and exhibits complete mastery over all of the senses and ego. These framed 5" x 7" linoleum prints are still available in the Noah Art Shop. Jai #Hanuman! ❤️🐵🙏
The Hanuman birthday love continues. Me and my Hanu-mama in Rishikesh back in January. This image of Hanuman opening his chest to reveal Sita and Ram living inside his heart, was a big inspiration for the series of open chested yogis I'm currently working on. Sometimes I feel a physical pain in my chest as if this is a physical manifestation of everything that is constricting and keeping my heart sheltered and bound. I want to live open-hearted like Sri Hanuman. #yogaart #noahart Jai Sita Ram! Jai #Hanuman! 🐵❤️🙏
Happy birthday dear Hanumanji! Hanging with the great monkey god of devotion in Rishikesh earlier this year. Hanuman represents the triumph of love over the forces of darkness. Jai Sri Ram! Jai #Hanuman! #Hanumanjayanti #yogaart
Happy Passover! Wishing everyone freedom and liberation from all that binds. Tree Of Love #Menorah, commission for The Shul of New York. “It is a tree of life to those who hold fast to it, it’s ways are ways of pleasantness and it’s paths, are paths of peace.” Eitz chayim hi la ma-cha-zi-kim-bah, v’-to-m’-che-ha m’-u-shar - Proverbs
My studio gallery in Ossining,NY. Ardhanarishvara (Half Shiva/ Half Shakti), Nandi (Lord Shiva's Bull), and Kartikeya's Peacock. #yogaart #noahart
I just turned my warehouse studio into a gallery space! Had a bunch of movable walls on wheels built so the work looks presentable. I figured if I couldn't find the right gallery, I'd be the gallery I was waiting for :). I hope you will come up for a visit and see the work in person. I'm just a quick 45 minute trip north of NYC on the Metro North Hudson line in Ossining,NY. Would love to meet you and give you a tour, just message me for an appointment. #yogaart #noahart
My next step is to build a shelf behind the doors. What would you put inside them? #yogaart
Just opened up the doors to my yogis hearts. ❤🙏 #yogaart #yogaheart
It's night 8 of Navratri, the 9 night holiday devoted to Goddess Durga in all her 9 forms. This is a 9 goddess series of 1 foot tall welded steel sculptures painted with patina, solvent dye, and oil enamel. Tonight we honor Maa Mahagauri. This form of the goddess represents when Parvati became a renunciate and underwent severe deprivation to attain Lord Shiva as her husband. She rides Nandi, Shiva's white bull and represents purity and prosperity. In her four arms she holds Shiva's trident, Shiva's damaru (drum), and makes her hands in the abhaya and varada mudras.
Happy Navratri! It's night 7 of this beautiful nine night holiday celebrating 9 different aspects of Goddess Durga. I'm happy to present my series of 1 foot tall metal sculptures in honor of these 9 forms. It was one of the more challenging series of welded pieces I've made due to the tiny details. Night 7 is devoted to this most fearsome incarnation Maa Kalaratri. She is the Goddess in her most violent and wild form. When you think of mother nature's destructive tendencies think of Kalaratri. Despite her terrible aspects, her violence is destructive of stagnant and negative energies. Associated with the Crown Chakra and riding a donkey, Kalaratri gives her devotees power and makes them fearless.
It's night 4 of the 9 night Hindu holiday of Navratri that celebrates 9 different incarnations of the Goddess. Kushmanda Ma is worshipped on this 4th night. As with the other sculptures in this series, this piece measures 1 foot tall and is made from welded steel and painted with patina, oil enamel, and solvent dye. The Navratri goddesses can hang on a wall or sit on a table (or float through the air 😊). Some consider Kushmanda the Mother of the Sun, giving the sun it's warmth, light, and brilliance. She is a happy incarnation of the Adi Shakti and It is said she created the universe by flashing her smile. Her name translates as Ku (little) Usma (warmth or energy) Anda (Cosmic Egg or Universe). She rides a tiger and in her eight hands holds a discus, mace, lotus, bow, arrow, jars of amrita (life giving nectar), and blood, and one hand bestows grace.
Wishing everyone a blessed and peaceful Thanksgiving. Grateful for this holiday to pause and give thanks for this life and all it's abundance. Thank you as always for following and your interest in my work. Namaste 🙏
