100% Pure Cosmetics Review

It’s quite a while ago now, but I ordered some products off 100% Pure after seeing their pretty packaging on youtube by chance, and I thought I should write up my thoughts about the things I got.

So I mainly wanted to try out the powder foundation which is called “Fruit Pigmented Healthy Skin Foundation Powder: Creme” since this is what I saw on youtube and also cause I didn’t have a proper powder.

The packaging of this item is just gorgeous. It comes in a card box to protect the actual compact which is a really pretty engraved metal. It’s so girly and shiny and just makes me feel like such a princess when I see it sitting on my table. And what makes it even better is that the powder is actually decent! It doesn’t do much as a foundation by itself because it comes out rather translucent, but it sets my liquid foundation really well.

Normally I get very greasy over my T zone and actually the rest of my face as well so any attempts at covering up my acne has just been catastrophic in the past - foundation would just crease and sit in every tiny line or fold of my face and was really quite awful. But this powder actually keeps my face in place for most of the day. I do get creasing along my smile lines after a couple of hours but the rest of my face looks pretty on point I must say. Definitely going to be using this for a long time!

The second item I ordered was the “Fruit Pigmented Mascara: Black Tea” because there was free shipping over a certain cost more than because I wanted it. Again, the packaging is really pretty with the super shiny silver and floral pattern. It also smells really nice. However I think this product isn’t worth the price since the brush is a huge problem. I think the formulation is a little more liquid than normal mascara which already makes it prone to smudging after putting it on but the brush is far to big, so getting through to the bottom of your lashes is very difficult without getting mascara all over your eyelid. It’s a shame because I think a different brush like one of those rubbery ones would have been a lot better.

And because there was some kind of promotion going on when I ordered, I also got the “Fruit Pigmented Lip Gloss: Sheer Pomegranate Wine” for free. This one also smells really nice. The packaging is really standard so nothing to say there. When I first tried it, I thought it was pretty sticky and not that nice. The colour is really subtle and pretty but I thought the texture wasn’t great. It does seem to have become a little less sticky though as time goes on so it’s about the same as any other gloss I think. Sadly it doesn’t last very long so you need to take it with you and keep reapplying it throughout the day.

I am happy with this purchase since even though the mascara isn’t great, I get good use out of the other two which kind of makes up for it. As far as I am aware, 100% Pure is also completely cruelty free and they’re vegetarian / vegan etc. for people who care about those kinds of things. Personally, I really like the packaging, which comes close to being as pretty as Jill Stuart products, but for a slightly more affordable price.

The customer service is also A+ ! When I received my package, the powder had kind of fallen out of the little tub it sits in and they immediately helped and offered me a refund / replacement which was just super sweet.

Himi Fashion Review

Hello again. I know I don’t really do much on here anymore cause uni takes up almost all my time but I thought I might as well put reviews up of things I buy for the few people that might be interested.

Last week, I ordered a dress from the online J-fashion store, Himi Fashion. I was looking at a bunch of reviews beforehand since a lot of the time these kind of stores are a bit of a gamble cause you can never tell if they’re legit or not but ordering from Himi Fashion has actually been one of the most straightforward processes I’ve seen in a while.

One of the best things about this order and almost all orders on Himi Fashion is that they do free shipping from Asia! That makes it a lot more affordable when you don’t need to worry about shipping charges and getting hit by customs on top of that. Plus, it only took a week for my parcel to arrive to the UK which is a lot faster than what I expected!

Onto the dress. It’s exactly the same as in the images on the site! And the quality is also really great! The lining is made of a soft, elastic fabric that’s really pleasant and the dress and “shirt” are made of some synthetic, cotton-like fabric. The fabrics are pretty similar to costume materials that are used in cosplay but they don’t have that plastic look or feel to them that many cosplay costumes have. From what I could tell, all the sewing etc was also really solid with no loose threads anywhere.

I ordered a size M and it fits me really well! I’m probably floating between a UK size 8 and 12 but there are measurements given on the website so I would recommend checking with those before choosing a size.

One thing that I have noticed however, is that the buttons on the front all hang downwards on me. It’s not a bit problem but since I am bustier than the model, and the buttons are on the underside of my bust, I think that I will have to reinforce them to sit flatter.

I have also altered the sleeved a little by taking apart the seam under the arm and hemming the two halves separately as the original sleeves were just a little too tight - I could wear it fine but it left really sore indentations on my arms after taking the dress off. These are problems you have when you don’t have super slim arms like the model but instead have pudge MASSIVE BICEPS.

What I’m trying to say is that I really like this dress!
