Tiring Week.

Not much to say about this week. Worked most of last Sunday, then had to power through the 4 pm to 12 am shift the whole week (Tuesday to Friday) in order to keep the blood inventory high. It's not doing my health any good, I feel, and if they somehow to decide with this rostering, I am going to refuse it outright.

Missed David's covenant Orientation today, he really didn't give me any details anyway, but meeting Clarissa and friends tonight. As you might remember, Clarissa spends most of her days in the Hunter Valley with her boyfriend, so it'll be a good reunion with her.

Had dinner with friends at the Korean restaurant, Miga. Pretty good food, would recommend it.

Task 2b (or is it?)

I'm writing this in retrospect. Just as I was working my ass off to finish this project on-time by working all of Sunday and most of Monday on it, and hoping that somehow the words for this speech would become ingrained in my increasingly unreliable memory, it turns out it wasn't due today after all.

Just imagine my shock at finding my tutorial room almost empty except for some people doing what appeared to be a catch-up exam, and having no idea where my class went to. Yeah, it was pretty frigging scary. That was until I called my good friend Salman, who informed me there were no classes for the next two weeks. One week which was an exam week, the other was the "Vice Chancellors" Week, which just means its a week to slack off (actually have no idea why they call it that). At least I finished, or at least got myself mostly prepared my speech in advance, so I can tweak it a little more ahead of time. Was so tired though, it really would drain me for the rest of the week.

Also met up with Yik Wen at Newtown today. She needed an ADSL2+ modem to try out because she was having problems with her connection. Gave her two to play with. Had a nice Thai meal at a new Thai restaurant on King St. whose name escapes me. The BBQ lamb rib was great, though pricey. YK had the ki mao and she didn't seem to mind it. Also ordered a coconut drink, which was a young coconut that had part of its husk shaved off, and pre-packaged in plastic wrap, imported form Thailand. It was pretty good, but I thought the plastic wrap left on it was a bit tacky. The fried ice cream we had for desert I thought was terrible. I think it had way too much coconut mixed into the fried outer coating.

Task 2a iii

I'm posting this in retrospect. I finished the assignment just on time today. Handed it in on-line at about 5 to 5 pm. I distinctly hope I can keep up my winning streak with the assignment I'm handing in at the moment, but might it be too much to ask this time around? I'm not entirely sure what format present it in, and I'm not sure if anyone else does either (from the questions everyone seems to be asking me). Crossing my fingers.
