Big banks really want to keep us all indebted to them. The latest VISA card commercial literally has a cafe full of people stopping the incoming customers from paying for their coffee order in cash and insiting they use a visa credit card instead.

While that basic set up is par for the course for those ads, what specifically annoyed me was the overt discouragement of paying in cash. I usually don't pay attention to those ads so it probably isn't the first time this has been promoted but it feels especially sinister to me right now given our current political/economic situation.

Anyway fuck that. I will continue to use cash whenever I have it.

My boss knows I don't use ai and has no clue how much I loath it but he decided he *had* to show me how it could quickly add the new keys to our key schedule spreadsheet.

He took ten minutes rebooting his ai bot because it had started glitching then had to search for the prompt he'd already made and somehow lost. In the end all it did was organize the info into columns for me to copy and paste.

Wow. So impressive. Totally could have done all that myself in ten minutes or less.

In the middle of all that he says to me, "I'm not selling you on this am I?"

No sir, you just proved me right and I didn't have to say a single thing.
