Ouch, 2x5 getting hit with the Charma treatment of giving us more interactions at the cost of being in-character. Yay, shippy time! Nay, this isn't them.

Edit: Goth has made me reconsider! There's a way to make this in character, namely: Wufei is bad at feelings and, in a 2x5 scenario, historically belittles his romantic interests' strongest character traits (Meilan's chivalry, Duo's intelligence)— one could say he was thinking of something else and lied about what that was when Duo asked what his deal was (#deserved)

All Char ships to me are "canon" in the sense that they all happen at different points in his life. And everytime a new ship with him becomes popular I imagine it's a reverse Ramona Flowers situation, he may trick you into fighting his supposed evil exes but he is indeed, the evil ex.

Oh oh oh, what DO you want to draw for Gundam next? I see your into 2x5 (if you're new to the fandom you may not be familiar with the ship naming system, it's mostly with numbers. As you might guess, that's for Duo/Wufei), do you like any of the other characters from Wing? I admit, I've never seen any of the other series... anytime someone suggests it I decide to watch GW another time instead 😅

Aha! Thank you for letting me talk about this, hehe— I am familiar with the numbers convention, and though I draw 2x5 mostly (and plan to do so), I am actually a 1x2x3x4x5 main! So there will be different configurations of that here and there. 6x13 as well! If time allows me.

The more Gundam shows I watch, the more I can say for certain that no other Gundam show feels like Wing 😅 so it's special in that regard. Whenever you're ready (if you want to at all!) I'd suggest watching Iron-blooded orphans next, if you want a show with lots of potential shippenings. It even has a canonical gay character!

As for other Gundam shows I plan to draw for, for anybody else reading this, Iron-blooded orphans and UC (Charma, mostly) is next on the list! Perhaps some locktie for 00, as reparations for never getting those hours of my life back. I'm also not opposed to Challia/Char for gqx (the name's escaping me, sorry!).

Thank you so much! 🥰 I'm new, though I technically started when Gwitch came out— I didn't start getting into Gundam in general until I watched Wing a few months ago. I've now finished 00, GQX and The Origin, and am currently watching Iron-Blooded Orphans. We're probably watching Seed and UC (in order, this time!) next. My favorite suit ever is the Hi-Nu!
