She couldn’t have been the only person to mention Valentine’s to Noelle.
Was she actually interested?
“Hmm...” Noelle looked thoughtful, “Well, I was going to get some cute Valentines for everyone, stick chocolates to them, you know like we did in middle school? But...” She rubbed at her face, exacerbated, “I bet if I go after school today the Grocery will be all out! I bet I waited too long!”
“Guess I’m going to be spending Valentine’s alone again. What else is new?”
“Wait.... Valentine’s day is this Friday?”

“I-It’s okay, a-as long as it wasn’t intentional, you’re alright,” Serena answers back. Her vision was still blurred, but she could make out a few details. The monster had some yellow golden hair, and wore red and green.
The light brown hand held out to them felt fuzzy, like a paw. Two sets of dark sticks stuck out from their head. She must be some reindeer like monster, she thinks to herself. She also sounds like she’s sniffling. Is she hurt from the fall, or is she sick?
“You sure you’re not hurt?” She continues to ask, her vision slowly improving, sitting upright, and flinching from stings of pain coming from her knees.
Noelle helped to pull the lioness up from the ground, trying to rub at her face with the sleeve of her cardigan. The fur on her face was wet and she was sure her eyes were red from crying, but she didn’t want the stranger to see that.
“No, I’m really okay, are you alright?”
Noelle stopped wiping her face long enough to see the other’s roughed up jeans, dirty and scraped from the fall. “Oh gosh, you really took a tumble, I’m sorry I wasn’t looking where I was going, I-- I didn’t think anyone was coming--” Noelle stammered on apologizing as she helped the other monster stand as much as she could, helping steady them if they needed it.

You ask the deer if she wants to come over sometime…you kinda need help with school work…and you don’t want your grades to drop…any further that is.
“Oh, Kris! Yes, of course I can. I’d love to help you with your homework, it’s important to keep your grades up. We can’t have you stuck in afterschool!”
Noelle takes out her pocket schedule from her backpack and sets it on the desk before opening it, “How about tomorrow after school? It’ll be a good time to study before our math test on Friday!”

You agree with meeting after school tomorrow and ask her how you could pay her back, as you know she has a very jam packed schedule and you are grateful for the time she is giving you.

Susie certainly hadn’t been expecting that reaction. Considering how tall and heavy she was, you would’ve thought anyone would’ve seen her coming. Nevertheless, the reptile withdrew her hand once the other had turned around and starting speaking.
She stood where she was, letting the other speak. She kept her expression mostly neutral during the other’s explanation, not wanting to appear too judgmental.
Though the comment that Spooky Day wasn’t her favorite holiday got a chuckle from the dragon, her lips curling into a playful smirk.
“Right, and this is news? You look like you celebrate Gyftmas everyday.” She’d remark, before her expression would suddenly fall as she realized that that might be taken as an insult.
“Uhh…not that there’s anything wrong with that! It…looks good on you! Really! Umm….Oh right, candy. You have any caramel?” She’d sputter out, desperately trying to change the subject.
Susie’s remark about her celebrating Gyftmas every day made her chuckle. “No,no, I like hearing that! Really.” After all, her last name was Holiday!
The more Susie tried to correct herself, the more Noelle smiled.
Seemed she was finally back to her normal amount of cheer.
“Yeah, I think I have some, and there’s plenty of chocolate...”
“Why don’t you sit down? We can split all this candy if you want.”

As much as Susie hated school, even she had to admit it had some good ideas. Another chance to celebrate her favorite holiday, and not get in trouble for pulling a few pranks? Sign her right up. Though unfortunately her less than popular status didn’t earn her that much.
She looked across the schoolyard for somewhere to eat her less than stellar bounty when her eyes caught sight of the reindeer sitting by herself at the picnic table. The reptile’s eyebrows furrowed in concern. The other almost seemed sad, and a little lonely too.
Tell them something you’d like to hear.
Recalling what she had learned in the dark world, Susie made her way over to the table, laying a hand gently on the other’s shoulder.
“Hey, are you alright? You look a little out of it.”
“Ah!” Noelle gasped, jumping slightly at the touch. Obviously she hadn’t been paying attention and hadn’t noticed Susie’s approach.
“O-oh! Susie! I’m sorry I... I was just... spacing out.”
And maybe daydreaming, remembering happier times.
She gave the other a small smile, “Yeah. I’m alright.” She said, almost automatically, “Guess I haven’t had much fun today. Might as well have stayed home.”
As soon as she said that last part she blinked, blushing.
“I--I mean, it’s not that I didn’t have fun at all but I just, Spooky Day isn’t my favorite holiday, s-so...” She gestured helplessly in the air before fiddling with the candy at the top of her pile.
“Do you... want some of my candy?”

Noelle sat at the picnic table under the tree in the schoolyard and pondered over her “trick-or-treat” shoe box that was filled with colorful candies of all kinds. Though it was far from the actual holiday, the school had decided to hold their own “spooky festival” which in all actuality was just a day where everyone got candy and the teachers got a break from lesson planning.
It wasn’t a bad holiday, but Noelle didn’t see the joy in scaring people or the joy in being scared, and the candy...
Well, the candy was nice but it wasn’t like Christmas cookies and cakes baked with love, warm and sweet and--
Her hand had come to her chin as her eyes glazed over in reminiscence of the pastries she so adored, gazing off into the distance, unawares of someone possibly approaching.
I was listening to @nyxtheshield Lost Girl remix and got inspired to draw Noelle on a sort of 90′s anime style.. (?) i tried XD heheh

Don’t you love late bank fee notifications?
It’s been two days and barely today I’ve been informed about this which I didn’t realize cause I did have cash with my this morning to buy breakfast on the way up with a co-worker. Not while I was preparing to send out emails to some clients here in the office did my phone barely notify me that my bank was bellow $25. So I was running the numbers and bills that were not due till another 3 weeks and the last bills I paid had already been pulled out. But I’ve requested a refund from a subscription my brother had my card in without me knowing. He assumed he it wasn’t on automatic and had removed my card info. Which….of course doesn’t apologize and doesn’t plan to pay me back so this week I’ll be canceling my card and ask for a new one because who knows where else he’s entered my card without me knowing.
I haven’t been contacted back from where I sent and email for a refund but usually a refund takes 1-3 days, but I don’t get paid till Friday and the money doesn’t go in till Saturday.

She hadn’t noticed the hospital in the previous multiverse visits to Hometown. Though to be fair, most of the previous times she had been distracted by the scenery.
Serena figured she could just visit the library Berdly told her about. Not much else I can do around here. Can’t see the school, the teachers might see me as a student. Don’t have any currency for this world, so can’t buy from the dinner. Not in the mood to visit the lake. Definitely not wanting to see the graveyard either.
Barely stepping onto the blacktop pavement, she noticed a shadow fluttering by, and saw a yellow butterfly. Huh, that’s cute. Distracted by the small winged insect, she didn’t have time to hear the hoofed footsteps, or see the deer-like monster in an upset appearance.

Falling down on the ground, she places a paw onto her head. Argh, what happened. Giving a dizzy glance towards the monster, she squints to look at them through the blur. “A-Are you alright? I-I didn’t see y-you there.”

Dazed and vision slightly blurry from smacking her head on on the pavement, Noelle raised her head, rubbing where she would certainly have a bump there.
“I--I’m okay!” She stammered without really seeing who she’d run into or if she knew them.
She sat up, realizing it was not a monster she knew and strangely, had never seen before. “Y-you-- Are you okay?” The reindeer stammered, “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going, I--” She reached out, offering her hand to the other to help them up, using her free arm to wipe her face. “I’m so so sorry!”

Noel’s stomach twisted uncomfortably as the hospital doors shut behind her.
She had tried her best to keep a brave face for the rest of the visit with her dad, tried to focus on the game she’d brought... but the second she found herself alone and without distraction, tears sprang to her eyes.
Things were really bad, weren’t they? Worse than her dad wanted to let on. If they were going to have to send him to another hospital in the big city...
Noelle’s hand came to her mouth to stifle a sob as her shoulders shook, thoughts racing through her mind about her father, about what it would mean if he were gone, and about darker things.
Numbly, she descended the stairs, still keeping her hands tucked around her tightly as she walked-- anywhere. Somewhere that wasn’t home.
She couldn’t stand to be there without him.
After hardly glancing left and right, she crossed the street at the crosswalk, keeping her head down and rushing so nobody would see her face or stop her to ask what was wrong.
Then just about at the middle of the street-- WHAM!
The next thing she knew, Noelle was sprawled on the pavement, dazed.
