“You always do this! You assume what everyone thinks of you and then act accordingly without even considering that you could just- oh I don't know, perhaps ask what we think first!”

“Oh, yeah? Well. You… you wanna kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid.” Akarsha looks away, vision becoming watery. Deflecting has always been easier than facing the truth. 

“Does it?” Noelle takes a step forward, voice suddenly cold and eyes unwavering.

“Huh?” Akarsha finally looks back at her, confused. 

She cups Akarsha’s cheek, taking another step forward.

“Does it make me look stupid how badly I want to kiss you right now?” Noelle asks, voice barely above a whisper. She still looks upset. But for some reason, she’s leaning in slowly, nothing is making sense right now.
