Quora is a Liberal Playground
Quora is a question and answer site that claims to provide non-biased answers from subject matter experts. They have a reputation for being intolerant to anything but ultra liberal views. Is the reputation warranted? I decided to see.
First the ground rules. It was my intention to test the bias of the site and not individual people. I did not flame, troll, or directly take issue with another user. I merely posted my own answers which were different than the overwhelming majority. I wanted to see how the site reacted to differing points of view. I set up a new account for the test.
I carefully included the facts needed to back up my statements. In other words, I did not post unsubstantiated opinions. Disputing my answers required disputing facts as well.
I spent several weeks posting dozens of answers. What did I find? I immediately noticed my answers got many views but almost no upvotes. It was obvious that people did not like what I was saying. Ultra liberal answers (often with no facts to back them up) were getting massive upvotes.
Although I did not dispute other answers, it did not keep people from attacking me. Many were insulting or otherwise violated Quora’s terms of service. A flag is available to trigger an investigation by a moderator. When I tried, I got emails notifying me they had removed a few of my other posts for violations that clearly weren’t there. I was careful to never violate Quora rules. Apparently, someone saw my answers were not liberal. This led them to look for reasons to censor me. Right or wrong, that is my opinion based on what happened. I never saw them ban those who attacked me either.
Quora is an extremely liberal site. In my experience it is hostile to any other points of view. It desperately wants to limit all answers to liberal solutions as though they are the only viable solutions on earth. Of course, this is far from true which effects the correctness of their answers. Facts and evidence to support answers was also in short supply. I read over 100 answers in my areas of expertise and would judge the quality to be D at best.
Quora is a large site. I’m sure there are many good answers and I do not imply they are all bad. I saw several people post thoughtful, well researched answers. I’m also just as sure that bad answers are there because I saw them with my own eyes. I experienced hostility and what I felt was censorship. Others can have different experiences but I can only state what I saw. The common reputation that Quora is liberal, rather than unbiased, is true in my experience. Although I am not really a conservative, I closed the account and will not go back.
Hillary has pledged to increase Obama’s already massive Middle Eastern migrate quota by 550%. These people predominately live off your tax money. Does the US really need 10 million more welfare cases?
Stop The Killing
The nation was mostly on-board denouncing police treatment of Blacks. We wanted it to change. We had sympathetic ears. We often saw police take the same attitudes towards white people and we wanted that changed too. But no one wanted people killed.
Shooting police was the worst thing possible. It flipped the victims around. Blacks are now the aggressor with police needing sympathy. That’s exactly the opposite of what we need. It also makes the police look correct all along if Blacks want to murder them. We don’t want that and it doesn’t help anyone.
The police killings, along with the “Kill the Pigs” rants that came later, only make the police clamp down tighter. All the public awareness towards unfair Black treatment will go down the drain if it isn’t stopped now. Killing people won’t solve this problem. It has to stop.

“The most articulate take on #Brexit is actually this FT reader comment today”
(Source: https://twitter.com/nicoleperlroth/status/746272418075807745)
I’ve enjoy reading the liberal take on Brexit. I suppose this post sums up the attitude pretty well. In particular, read his third point. Let’s look at it in detail.
“We live in a post-factual democracy”- signifying Brexit turned a blind eye to facts. What facts does he mean? The fact EU policy resulted in offshore jobs, high unemployment, terrible economic conditions along with some of the worst sovereign debt in Europe’s history ? Do you mean those facts? It seems to me the Brexit supporters are facing facts very well. The people who wanted to stay were the ones refusing to face facts.
Exactly what democracy is he talking about? The EU consists of appointed positions that are not democratically elected. When you join the EU you give up your democracy. Leaving the EU is a step towards democracy. This guy doesn’t even know how the EU functions and thinks a group of EU lackeys appointed by the wealthy constitutes a democracy.
Now to his best one yet “can anyone tell me the last time a prevailing culture of anti-intellectualism has led to anything other than bigotry?” because “The British people are sick of experts”. This is awesome stuff.
Apparently, Great Britain consists of the most unwashed of masses. They are not only stupid but too stupid to listen to their superiors. Nothing worse than uppity idiots that ignore the sage wisdom of their betters. No wonder this guy is pissed.
The intellectuals told them to stay but it didn’t work because everyone was anti-intellectual. Probably just jealous of the staggering mental ability this guy shows. Who are these intellectuals? Anyone voting to stay. Who are the idiots? Anyone who wants to leave. No one listened to this guy so now the nation will instantly turn into bigots. I wondered how that worked. I’m not sure but I’ll take my chances over being a moron who thinks they are an intellectual.
After years of lies about EU benefits, the “Experts” were ignored. Is it any wonder? All Brits got were lies and EU propaganda. Were the “experts” telling them about lost jobs and stagnant salaries? Were they explaining how uncontrolled migration resulted in huge crime increases and a heavy economic burden? If this guy were a true intellectual he would know why people stopped listening to experts who were wrong about everything.
The EU took away Britain’s elected government and substituted an EU parliament filled with stooges appointed by the wealthy. These crony capitalists embarked on a plan that resulted in terrible economic and social conditions along with massive debt. When people vote to take the country back the intellectuals flew off the handle jabbering utter nonsense. I suspect they are misnamed.
Confirmed and confirmed again.
I want that clarinet.....
