Happy Halloween 🎃

Happy happy Halloween🎃👻 it’s my favorite time of the year! Now it’s been months since I’ve had a chance to post an update my blog. I unfortunately am going through a divorce and was completely blindsided by what was happening in my own home. A month ago my son and I love New York and move back home to Louisiana to be closer to family. We have already situated and settled down but I am still trying to get myself back into school and have a pending part time job. It has been a very crucial and busy few months. So that’s why I’ve been MIA for sometime. I only recently logged back in when I got an email that I had a new follower LOL so I figured I’d check it out because I haven’t been on since July. A part of me was just going to delete this all together but I figured I could use it to still drop down about my day or my meals or anything just to get stuff off my chest. I think it be good for me to keep this blog. Now I really don’t keep in touch with anyone on Tumblr because everyone is on Facebook or Instagram. But I like to have this for myself. And for whatever few followers I have that are actually interested in reading what I write. But I’m hoping I can get back into the routine of just blogging again in general. It’s helped me before in the past and I think it’ll be great for me to do even now. So much has changed. My husband is a POS but hey whatever. What’s done is done and eventually his karma will come back and bite him in the ass but for now all I do is just sit back and continue to focus on myself and our son. Other than that I am so excited that Halloween is finally here and my son is super excited to go trick-or-treating tonight. I have not been in the mood for Halloween with all the shit that’s been going on. My son knows we go all out every year but this year was a little harder for us to do. But today I’m definitely ready and feeling the Halloween spirit and I want to keep that going for the both of us. It’s always been our little thing. This year we’re dressing up as Spiderman and spider woman 🕸🕷 we were in her costume a handful of times already but today is definitely the day! I’m ready to go all out and do my make up and get dressed up with my son lol

I made stuffed salmon for dinner with a side of sweet plantains and shrimp 🤤🤤

How Gross is this? I vacuum regularly and these carpets we have still always look dirty. I passed the streamer twice. And can’t believe how much dirt is sucked right up. I will say that the air in our home feels cleaner. But STILL GROSS 🤢 this is something I will probably have to do atleast once a month. It’s nasty and I wish we didn’t have these wack ass tile carpets they installed into housing. They suck!!! The End 🙄

Doesn’t look like much but I try to make Korean ground beef over white rice. I didn’t have any green onion so I just used shredded carrots LOL it was so freaking delicious 🤤

Yesterday I took my son to the zoo with some of his friends. And today we went to the county fair 😆 it’s been one thing after the other. But tomorrow this momma is staying in and patiently waiting for my husband to arrive 😊

6 months

It’s been 6 months since we’ve moved to NY. 6 months and it already feels like we’ve been here a year or longer. My son and I have made the most of our time here. Finding a routine for us during summer break has been a bit different. Dominic asked today if he had school tomorrow. But he still has all of August before starts up again. We’ve been keeping busy since daddy left out of town for work. Thankfully he’ll be home soon. But Dominic misses him a whole lot these days. It’s just the constant reminders I think are starting to get to him. He just wants his daddy back home already. And I don’t blame him. I’m ready also. But the month training went by pretty fast if you ask me lol a month is nothing really. But I didn’t realize how much we did in this time frame. I was looking at a few photos on my IG and thought how crazy it was. That my son and I went out exploring with daddy. Life doesn’t stop for us. Just wish my Husband was around for more. It is what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️ just a few more days 💜

It took a few days and a lot of sweating 🙈 But I got my son’s pool leveled out. I think the sand makes the pool look wider. I was showing my mom from the second floor and it stuck out Lol this 90° weather is ridiculous but we’ve been soaking up a lot of fun in the sun the past few weeks

I was ahead of schedule this morning by 40 minutes or so. And I was able to make my macaroni salad for today’s barbecue. I have since then also been able to do the dishes and clean our kitchen. Sweep the kitchen floor and paint my nails. I’m still waiting for them to fully dry but at least I still have a few hours to rest before it’s time to head out. Looking forward to spending the day with our friends. I really miss my husband today but thankfully he’ll be home soon 🙌🏼 momma just wants to sleep in LOL
