I am so sick and tired of white western “feminists” shoving their imperialist white savior lens on Afghanistan. 

Their Islamophobia and racism is so entrenched that in order for them to give any acknowledgement to Afghanistan it comes with that same imperialist need to assert oppression over Muslims (especially women) to justify western imperialism & oppression. Instead of centering Afghans, white western feminists are centering themselves through a condescending, uniformed, and Islamophobic desire to “save” Muslim women.

How insulting, degrading, and trivializing. It’s not white western women’s duty nor ANYONE’s duty to “save” Muslim women. The only thing anyone who isn’t actually Afghan should be doing is listening to them, supporting them, and yielding to their leadership. Afghan women have been organizing and protesting against the Taliban AND imperialist & military occupying forces for decades. As we speak, various groups of Afghan women are protesting against the Taliban, but you never hear about that because white western feminists are too busy spinning a narrative that all Muslim women are fragile ignorant babies that must be protected by the White People. Which is laughable because that is straight up misogyny. Don’t call yourself a feminist then.
