Absolutely TK cannot handle emotions. But rather then sadness, I feel like it’s be just pure anger. Not the usual passive aggressive anger that accompanied by a smile but like. murder anger. And only partially for seeing their dead friends but more of the: I invested time in making sure this version LIKED me how dare you make me start over.

Getting TK to care enough to be angry or sad on another persons behalf is gonna take more then just some of the endless version dying.
