                        AS MUCH AS HE WOULD  deny and refuse to acknowledge it later,  there was nothing,  and no one,  that could cause his eyes to genuinely light up faster upon sight then his ladybug.  if he could blame it on anything,  he was only eager for another chance to attain the freedom he so desperately desired.   (but deep down,  he knew that wasn’t true.  not anymore,  at least.)   almost immediately after he was by her side,  he knelt on one knee,  bowing like a proper knight would for his queen,  with his head down and one arm bent behind his back while the other crossed over his chest.  startling bright eyes opened into slits and a crooked smile formed over his lips,  his gloved hand taking her own with gentle ease and raising it to his lips,  where he pressed a lingering kiss to her delicate fingers.
