You had always been a bit of a scaredy-cat, but you never thought you'd be afraid of the ghost face. But ever since your roommate went away for the week, leaving you alone in your dorm, you couldn't shake off the feeling that you were being watched.

You tried to distract yourself by scrolling through social media and watching some movies on your laptop. But every time you heard a creak or a rustle, you'd jump out of your skin and look around the room with wide eyes.

It was getting late, and you knew that you needed to sleep, but you couldn't bring yourself to close your eyes. That's when you thought of Ethan, your friend who lived in the dorm next door. You had hung out a few times and got along well, and you knew he was a big horror fan, so he might be able to help you out.

You quickly grabbed a hoodie and your favorite plushie before making your way to Ethans dorm. You knocked on his door, and after a few moments, he answered, looking surprised to see you.

“Hey, y/n, what's up?” he asked.

“It's stupid, but I'm scared of the ghost face. I keep thinking I see it everywhere,“ you admitted.

Ethan chuckled. “That's not stupid. Come on in, I'll help you out.”

You stepped into Ethans dorm, feeling grateful for his kindness. He offered you a seat in his bed and asked you to tell him more about why you were scared. 

As you spoke, Ethan listened intently and nodded along, offering reassurances and suggestions to calm you down. Eventually, you calmed down enough to ask, “Ethan, can I sleep with you? I know that sounds I just mean- I feel safe when you're here.” 

“Of course, I'll be here the whole night, okay? Nothing will get to you while I'm here,” he comforted you.

“I'll take the couch. It’ll be fine,” Ethan added.

As the night wore on, you grew increasingly uneasy, tossing and turning in Ethan’s bed, unable to fall asleep. Meanwhile, Ethan was sound asleep on the couch, snoring softly. He had given up his bed for you, but he didn’t mind sleeping on the couch. He was a heavy sleeper and the couch was comfortable enough for him.

After a while, you couldn’t take it anymore and tiptoed to the couch where Ethan was sleeping. You carefully climbed onto the couch, trying not to wake Ethan, but as you settled in, you felt an overwhelming need to be closer to him.

You slowly inched closer to Ethan, until you were right next to him, and wrapped your arms around him, burying your face in his chest. You felt safe with him, and you knew he wouldn’t mind you cuddling with him. 

Sometime later, Ethan stirred, roused by the warmth of your body pressed against his. As he came fully awake, he saw you slowly opening your eyes, your face inches away from his.

“You really missed me this much?” he chuckled.

But before you could apologize, Ethan leaned in and kissed you. You were surprised, but quickly kissed him back, melting into the sweet embrace.
