I don't really do pride month art that often but I've had this concept for these guys since May, I didn't execute it the way I wanted to unfortunately.

They were supposed to be post card type drawings instead of chibis.

Just realizing recently that "Torete" and "Buko" are Eddie songs. Perfect talaga para dun sa college days nya, very classic.

Some part of my brain sees that he likes getting slapped. Might even shed a couple of tears but he'd like it together with the guilt and shame from it.

My friend and I talked about our ocs on our meet up yesterday, ofcourse I shared my most recent ocs in exchange. I don't know how it turned from asking about who's the scariest when angry in my boys to how good they are at panunuyo. Maybe we were tired seeing as we've hung out until 1am or it really did just took that turn. Those last thoughts stuck around to me last night until today. "Paano nga ba magalit at manuyo ang isang Edmund Dorset?". In this scenario, Eddie and Orty already had an established relationship. Orty has the tendency to avoid or isolate during disagreements or arguments. She'd stay away, stay mad, or move on as is, but it's still there unsolved and it will remain that way for as long as she could hold on to it. If she thinks it's time to talk about it or its starting to be necessary to do so then she would but again, nobody knows how long that timeframe is since it's completely up to her. Eddie on the other hand did not like prolonged fights, he can't handle having a marinating disagreement so in this situation he'd be the first one to approach, whether it is his fault or the other party's. Perhaps he'd take some time to gather himself but at one point or another he'd have a conversation to fix or remedy the predicament at hand. On the case that she avoids him, whether through making excuses or just flat out ignoring him is when his coaxing comes in. He's the type to not stop even when she pushes him away or acts angry to keep him away, his stubbornness actually coming in quite handy in addition to him not being able to handle a fight between the two of them. He would be a lot touchier in the way that he would physically hang on her, or hug her. In some ways finding a way for their skin to touch. He'd give her the space that she wants of course but he'd still be around. If she made him sleep on the couch, he'd follow but sooner or later she'd find him inside their bedroom asking her if he could sleep beside or and if not beside her just near her. He'd sleep on the floor if he has to, he just can't sleep without her. "Hm, what are you doing here you were supposed to sleep on the couch" "Hindi ako makatulog, nahihirapan akong matulog ng di ka kasama" "Kahit sa sahig pa ako, gusto ko lang ng malapit sayo kay'?" "Dali na bebee, kahit ngayon lang, tapos magalit ka na ulit sakin bukas" "Please, magbati na tayo para makatulog na tayooo" "I'll see to it tomorrow" ":D"

Dialogue (scene: Office Fight Aftermath) "May nasabi ka ba?" "huh?" "Hindi naman sa ano... pero mabunganga ka kasi minsan." Eddie opened his mouth, reluctant to admit to something he shouldn't have said. He already knows he shouldn't have, but he's not ready to have it get thrown at his face. "Sabi ko... kaya hindi kayo nagtagal..." Dean raised a brow. "In english?" He gave him a look before his eyes settled itself towards the floor. "That's why you two didn't last..." "Ayun. So deserve mo pala yan." He began to laugh, air passing through and out his nose before his voice began to sound. "puuutangina" he said under a humorous guise. The others gave him a glare, a look that tells him to tone it down or to stop it. "Sorry- sorry ha-, it's just funny. None of this would've happen if he just- decided to shut up- parang hindi ka naturuan." "You don't just comment on other people's relationship- It's not yours! labas ka don! that's none of your buisness!" "-And you don't just taunt those people in front of them- Magkaibigan ba kayo para gawin yon? Were you friends to do that? sure as hell not because then you wouldn't have that fucking bruise on your face right now." "So if he wasn't supposed to hear it? He still did!" Bailey reproached, He shouldn't laugh when what happened to Eddie was so awful. "He got the consequences of his actions. Yung karma. Let him deal with it."

Not 1:1 to when I first thought of it because the voice kept changing while I was typing, I just wanna put it down so I won't forget and be able to come back to it. This was Dean's string of dialogues after Eddie told the group about the office fight. He became the voice of reason since prior to this the group was angry for him, essentially being on his side before getting the full pov. They are still on his side ofcourse, but they do admit that he's not completely innocent in the situation either, each having their own perspectives on the story.

"Ang Huling El Bimbo" is the song that fuels my mind when I think of Eddie's childhood. An animatic in my mind that briefly passed through his life from childhood to adulthood. This song is what I usually hear when I was younger. Elementary children singing along to this song, feeling every single word that was said before they even knew it's true meaning. Ignorant of the song's story because that's not what's important to them, but to simply sing along with the rest of the children while one guitar player leads the tune. This became a starting point for Eddie's backstory. He was the kid with the guitar. The one who pulls it out every recess or lunchbreak to play. Some would begin to huddle around, talking, gossiping, singing along, and before you know it the entire class is harmonizing. Music connects them. Let's walkthrough the song. Verse 1 to Pre-chorus: The song began with him singing to OC before the flashback starts. He's in front the class, singing with his guitar in his had and the class in turn singing along with him. A couple glimpses of him spending time with somebody. Even as a child, he's always been loving.

Chorus: Singing with the class. Verse 2 to Pre-chorus 2: Another flashback scene, this is when he got into a fight. Another student who's crushing on the same person that he was spending time with. When he was hit it didn't stop him from hitting back, they're children after all. During this time someone got his back, someone to bring him to the infirmary when blood starts dripping down. His mother coming after to fetch and check on him. He was guilty but didn't admit to anything more than what he needs to say. Chorus to Interlude: Flashforward to him in college singing the song with his friends, a smaller group now compared to then and now with OC around. The interlude ending with her fading jumping into the another flashforward.

Verse 3 to Pre-chorus 3: Flashforward to his adult life before his job interview, his thoughts what she could've possibly been in during this time passing through his mind. From him on the bus, to him at a diner, and passing by a street. None of his thoughts brought him comfort and so he dismissed them. Last Chorus to outro: Entering the building and passing by the very person he was thinking about. Catching his attention the very same way on the day he first met her. He finally stepped into the elevator before the doors closed in, losing his sight of her. A smile of relief gracing his face, the burden in his mind now lighter as he moves through the day with a smile.

I feel cringe putting this out here but this is my blog so I could technically do anything I want with it if I want to.

I got no one to tell this to so I'll just put it here. Most of my boys are built up from listening to songs. This specially applies to Eddie where the very first song that got me to think about his personality was "Stupid with Love" from Mean Girls. I liked watching animatics and listening to music, it gets my brain going. Like warming up the engine before gradually diving into thinking and forming something.

From that song, I eventually ended up in OPM,,I love listening to those. Classic OPM that you hear when you were younger to the more modern OPM of today. Rivermaya, Up Dharma Down, Apo Hiking Society, Cup of Joe, these are one of the few I have on repeat when thinking about Eddie and in turn my other boys. Unfortunately, since the people I talk to about these ocs are English speakers, I can't exactly yap to them about these things. Not as freely as I wanted to anyways. The language barriers are sometimes hard to get through when you can't find any translations, and a lot harder when there isn't really a translation for it at all. I tried translating these songs but I don't think it still came across. Many meanings, contexts, and wordplay gets lost in translations. How do I tell them that the word Mahal can both mean expensive and love, how do i tell them the significance of this word to this character? Or how kaibigan and ka-ibigan are used, a word meaning a friend then suddenly a lover. Now that I think about it, telling the meaning of the word is one thing, explaining an entire sentence is another. "Mahal, ang mahal nang magmahal." A single sentence that used the same word thrice. "Mahal", the first one used as a noun, "My love". The second mahal, used as an adjective, "Expensive". And the last, as a verb, magmahal is to "to love". I'm going to admit, I made the sentence above because of Esemborak's song "Mahal Magmahal" so I'm gonna take an actual lyric from it that I liked. "Mahal ngayon ang magmahal, mahal kita pero mahal..." This lyric was said in the first verse, taking a pause before the chorus of "Mahal na ang bigas-" and so on. In english it said "It's expensive to love now, I love you but-" I cut that off because the last word could both be interpreted as the singer directly talking to their lover "I love you but love..." before moving to the next verse as indicated by the pause, or it could be interpreted as the singer saying a statement, "I love you but it's expensive...". In Tagalog, it's a singular word that could hold a double meaning, allowing the listener to make this conclusion but since it translates into two words in a different language, the listeners from this side were not able to piece it together themselves. It kindof lessens the impact of the wordplay. Ofcourse the song itself could still be appreciated as it is despite that, but the experiences are different and the other side might've not experience the same thing. Wordplay is such an interesting thing but when it's in a language different from their own, it feels like no one might listen even if I did try to explain these things. Sometimes I wish people could understand each other beyond language, or just speak their own languages while still understanding each other.

I finished a sketch page of my Spidersona/Spideroc! I still couldn't decide on a casual outfit for her but I'll get there next time.

Up next, I want to do a comic book front cover for her. Just like the ones that the characters have for their introduction because why not, It could be fun!

i respect all headcanons and you should to. that aside i don't know where people are getting the idea that hobie is unaffectionate or subtle about his touch. he caught a baby mid air and tried to high five her. he put pav in a headlock as a greeting.

he would absolutely rest his hand on your knee all the time. encourage you to sit in his lap or give him small kisses on his face.

his comfortable with everything - kissing in public because he doesn't fucking care. not to piss miguel anyone off but to show you affection. if you're not a spider person, or you ARE and you unfortunately don't have the same wall climbing ability as everyone else, he's more than happy to carry you around no matter who's watching.
