happy disability pride month!
this is something that's kind of near and dear to my heart, so i just wanted to give some support to anyone just starting out in hero course this year who might be worried about their own disabilities affecting their hero work.
disability can definitely make it more complicated to work as a hero, but there are so many options nowadays for support gear and accommodations, and none of it makes you less of a hero for using it. if anything, it takes a lot of bravery to admit that you need assistance when so many heroes are pushed to be independent lone wolf types.
always take care of your body and give yourself what you need, and never assume you can't be a hero just because of what your body can or can't do. there are lots of disabled heroes in the world doing incredible work! so add to those numbers!
(and remember to register as a disabled hero and get your ID marked with the appropriate marker so that you can qualify for more affordable insurance with better coverage!)
