I love the way Nurzhan Bekkaliyev draws ladies. It makes me want to follow those body shapes! So I gave it a try and did some studies of his drawings. He is a master of shapes. I can only dream to become half as masterful as he!

I was watching the 1980s Astro Boy with my mom and fell in love even more with Astro. She was telling me how much she loved 우주소년 아톰 and watched the episodes on tv while eating breakfast. I watched the 2003 remake when I was a kid but dont remember it as much. While the 1980s English dub is hilariously terrible, Astro is the cutest.

Hi, I'm currently preparing to apply to art center and I'm planning on pursuing a career in visual development for animation. Which major should I apply to?

Illustration Entertainment Arts is an absolutely wonderful department for visual development for animation!! They focus on a lot of technical skills as an illustrator with an in depth emohasis on foundation drawing skills, color theory, appealing design, etc.

Entertainment design Animation track, while it also covers visual development for animation, covers a lot more in-depth the production pipeline for an animated feature. They cover everything from 2D animation, CG animation, CG modeling, lighting, rigging, story boarding, layout (3d cinematography), and much more!
