[Picasso-ing/Cezenne-ing: when white artists try to rehash the birth of Modernism/Fauvism/*Primitivism* in 2015 [!!!] without considering the cultural/sociopolitical framework of the whitewashing in Western art history of indigenous art from around the world. do white artists even think that they would be still making hyperrealistic portraits/landscapes without the co-opting of color/form from black/indigenous artists? why is this considered *fine art* and not *folk/outsider* art? is the only deciding factor for that question the color of your skin and/or class?]
