I would just like to point out. The ears are pointing forward. The cat's sprawling out more as the bowl is shimmied as opposed to getting up to try and get out. That expression is hardly what i'd call disappointment. It's actually enjoying being gently jostled! Can't explain why, though. Could be the soothing jiggling motions, like how we sit in a vibrating massage chair sometimes. Or maybe it just sees this as an amusement part ride of sorts. Whatever it is, i can tell the cat is very relaxed and trusting of the person holding it in the bowl. I rate this VERY cute!

Hello, everyone! MikaYuu made great strides this year, so we’re pumped to return for the third year in a row. We held a vote for this year’s theme over on our Twitter, and in accordance with the popular vote, it’s time for planets and their gods!

You can make anything you like as long as it involves MikaYuu in some form. Art, fanfiction, headcanons, fanvids, edits—whatever you want! Feel free to run wild. (As a reminder, any ship dynamic is great! MikaYuu, YuuMika, YuuMikaYuu, platonic, queerplatonic, we love it all!) Nsfw content is also allowed, but we’ll be tagging it as such so you can blacklist it if you don’t want to see it.

The event will take place over eight days: from Friday, October 9th to Friday, October 16th. There are two prompts for each day; you can create something based on that day’s planet, god, combine them, or even do more than one per day! Follow wherever your creativity takes you.

This is so true. I feel like I put hours and hours into some of my works, rereading and revising and making sure it’s just how I want it, and I post it excited for it’s receiving….! And then no one comments. And it’s incredibly disencouraging. I write because I love to, but I also write because maybe someone out there loves it when I do too. And frankly, people telling me that I did a good job is the best feeling in the world.

Martha worked for a shitty janitorial company in Miami that didn’t give her or her coworkers any PPE. She took it upon herself to sew masks and give them away to coworkers. In addition she began organizing her workplace to demand better conditions. Her employer “Greene Kleen” fired her last night July 7th, 2020. Can you guess why?

‘He was my everything’: Boy who drowned in Brookings pond remembered for smile, generosity

The body of Molu Zarpeleh, 10, who was reported missing last Thursday night, was recovered from a privately-owned retention pond along 12th Street South around 8:40 a.m. Friday after authorities searched the pond, according to a new release from the City of Brookings.

A tip that Zarpeleh had been pushed into the pond that circulated on social media has been redacted by the tipster, said Chelsea Bakken, public information officer for the City of Brookings. Investigators also reported that tips they received Friday related to circumstances surrounding the incident were not true but won’t state why. Police are ignoring it and ruling it an “accidental drowning but his mother says differently. 

“A 10-year-old boy would not just take his sandals off and walk into the water,” she said. “He didn’t know how to swim.”

Brookings police and the Brookings Fire Department searched for Zarpeleh until about 2:30 a.m. Friday before the search was stopped due to safety concerns, poor lighting and murky water, the release states. Searchers used pumps from Brookings Municipal Utilities and Brookings County to remove about 300,000 gallons of water from the pond during the resumed search Friday morning

“Molu died, but I can’t say ‘was’ yet,” Mole said. “He’s my first child. He’s my only son. I don’t want to use the word ‘was.’ I can’t imagine him not living.”
