I found Kiwi Blitz at a time in my life when I was young and unsophisticated, and Kiwi Blitz was exactly that back then, too. (see: the portrayal of cops and police in early KB [in general, but earlier Tracks especially]) and as I grew up, KB grew up with me, just a little. Eventually though a time came in which I outgrew the story, but the characters and the ideas still rattle around in my head from time to time.
As a fellow lesbian and fellow appreciator of Gear (Gear who was broken by a broken system. Gear who wants to die but not as much as she wants to live. Gear who is the perfect image of Steffi through a glass darkly), these posts and edits do so much justice to the ideas of these characters. In a way that I GET it again. I remember why Kiwi Blitz, you know? There is a poetry here and in your analysis of these silly little characters that transcend the work and make it your own. I am affected. It is contagious. TRANSFORMATIVE stuff
