As all the indicators that summer is fading begin to show themselves, it really does change the way we feel about food & what we want to eat. The idea of warm fires and rustic cookouts start to appear in my mind. Like this mouth watering meal being prepared by the chefs @restaurant_pearlmorissette not too long ago. Can’t wait to be table side this Saturday evening to be the one indulging, not just taking a photo! There is something both bewildering & natural about putting yourself somewhere you’ve never been. That idea of adventure and exploration. Pushing & being pushed to limits you’ve never felt. Even though it was a small group of us, driving a team of dogs into the mountains of northern Sweden where the borders collide with Norway & Finland really felt solitary. We had gone well beyond the Arctic Circle navigating by the odd landmark & GPS when we could get a signal. Those places where you are truly unreachable and days away from civilization really make you appreciate the importance of maintaining and improving our global home.
