At the end of August 2011 Russian space agency lost a cargo ship named Progress M-12M allegedly due to a rocket failure that lead to a faulty orbit. The ship then came crashing back down to Earth omiting three tonnes of rations and supplies from the International Space Station's reserve (ISS). At the time the Soyuz-FG was planned to launch a month later which had to be reconsidered and now right before Christmas another calamity presents itself to the Russian Federal Space Agency.
