hello friends! i'm back home but the last two days of work were absolutely horrible, and i haven't slept properly since last week. i'll be on tomorrow after work to get some drafts done, though. thanks for your patience, and i hope you're all having a wonderful pride <3
in an unsurprising turn of events, i wasn’t able to get to any drafts to queue for the weekend, so replies will resume when i get back home.
i will be gone from 5/31–6/5. ask for disco if you wanna chat, but i might not even be super responsive there either. see y’all next week!
i will be out of town from the 31st to the 5th, so that means i am super busy cleaning, packing and other things that need to be done before i leave. any drafts i am not able to get to tomorrow and wednesday during travel will be gotten to when i return. thank you for your patience <3
contrary to popular media belief - or perhaps, popular media belief is both right and wrong - vampires did need sleep, but they could survive on very little, not needing 8 hours of sleep every night. the past 2 months of filming has logan on the dire end of needing sleep, unfortunately. it wouldn't be as bad as it is if he was able to consume much more blood daily than he is currently able to get, his source limited. not having had much of a chance to branch out in his new city of residence, this is the best he can manage for now.
he's fortunately had a rare couple of hours to himself, deciding to go out and get some fresh air. it's just his luck to space out on his walk, slamming into a body that rounds a corner at such a speed - thankfully, logan is able to right himself and the woman he'd run into, but not before the items in her hands fall to the ground. for a moment, he just holds her upper arms firmly as to right her on feet, staring at her with concerned eyed. when he realizes he's staring, he clears his throat and falls to his knees to grab said items, flustered he had even tuned out so hard. damn it, he really should napped instead.

there's an uneasiness that logan assumes is paranoia from his lack of sleep - or is it? - that she's reading his mind, but he doesn't smell vampire blood, or anything inhuman for the matter.
an embarrassed chuckle leaves his curled lips, and reaches for a small box that had fallen a little further away. "uh, you know what? i think i've had 4 hours of sleep the last 5 days, so..." his eyes catch the skates on her feet, and he he looks up at her with a curious smile. Truthfully, the answer is a major no - but it's a lot funnier to roll with a yes for now. "Oh wow, Boims. You've never looked better." If she could control the smirk on her lips, maybe there'd be more believability to her response. Hand raises to cover her mouth briefly as she clears her throat to play it off before doing her best to push forward a more serious face. "Seriously, you should start parting your hair that way more often. Nothing says 'I'm a sucker for protocol' quite like a middle part - oh, oh, you should replicate some of those old ass circle frame glasses to complete the look, too."
the hopeful gleam in his eyes is replaced by suspicion, narrowing his gaze at his fellow lower deck-er and supposed best friend. he huffs and turns to look into the handheld mirror, reaching up to fix some of the purple locks of hair falling out of place. eyebrow raising in question, he considers what she's saying. sure, her tone may be a bit sarcastic, but isn't she always? another glance her way, though, tells him that, yeah, she's just fucking with him. well, jokes on you, beckett mariner. two can play at that game. "hmm, you might be right this time. maybe rutherford can add some super cool enhancements like x-ray vision, or - oh! lasers."
