What's it like dating Katherine?
I'm so glad that you asked!
I see a LOT of 'Dating Katherine would consist of-" Posts and they're all so romanticized its so unrealistic!!! So let me tell you what dating Katherine is ACTUALLY LIKE, because she is NOT an easy person to be with!
Now quick disclaimer here- this doesn't mean she isn't a good person to date and that it's all bad. It's NOT and I will definitely list the entire spectrum here good and bad- but Katherine is not for the faint of heart and if yall want to fantasize about what dating her would be like you need the real guide book.
SO here's what dating Katherine Pierce would be like.
@havvkinsqueen “Don’t get me wrong I love winter because the snow is pretty, but it makes me so stiff. My arm and legs are like poles,” she complained as she drew the bath water to soak in.
Eddie gave a sympathetic smile, dumping in a generous amount of bubble bath and getting the tub all - well - bubbly for her. He remembered after her breaks, one of the doctors (or maybe it was a physical therapist?) mentioning that cold intolerance was common after hand fractures. One had to wonder if that extended to other bones as well. Or maybe it was just colder than a witch’s tit outside, and Chrissy was sensitive to that? Maybe both. “Hopefully this’ll get you all relaxed and loosened up. If you want, I can fix you some kind of snack? We can get all cozy on the couch when you’re done…”
"No one really looks at me any different. Maybe with a bit more disdain." Michael is not one to open up, has never been one to do so, even before everything happened with the "Mind Flayer", like he has heard it be called. He's had to sign a hundred papers and agreements to not speak about what truly happened that July 4th night, but they never said anything about trauma bonding with someone who went through something nearly identical. "Do you think they look at you different now?" @havvkinsqueen

Hawkins barely survived the events of 1986. Hell, Eddie barely survived the events of 1986. But after the dust settled it was life as usual. It was like no one ever remembered Hawkins had been hell on earth for a minute there. People graduated, people left, some kept in touch, some left Hawkins and everything else behind.
Eddie never quite moved on. He'd left Hawkins, was making a life for himself in Indianapolis but he always made it back to the shit hole. At least once a month he was in Forest Hills visiting his Uncle Wayne who refused to leave that place.
Life in Indianpolis wasn't bad. Eddie found himself a job at a tattoo shop. He just recently started tattooing. Felt like forever to get to that point. He got himself a studio apartment walking distance from his work place - convenient. And he was still making music. Got himself a paying gig every Friday night at a bar close to the university. Word was getting around about him too and he'd gotten called to play at other places. The only downside to the whole thing was that he mostly played covers people requested though every once in a while he'd sneak in an Eddie Munson original.
Life wasn't great but it was way better than anything Eddie could have expected and more than anyone in Hawkins expected from him. Besides, he'd only been out of Hawkins for a little over a year. He was just starting out.
Friday night, he'd closed up shop, went home to shower and headed straight to the bar. He figured if he got there early he could get something to eat while he was there, set up and start drinking early. Those discounts he got were excellent.

Jason took an unconscious step back from Chrissy, his heart pounding as he watched her cough. He kept himself from flapping his hand as a nervous stim, giving her a tight smile despite how viscerally disgusted he was with the idea of being sick. He wanted to keep backing away and go take a shower. It felt like his skin was crawling, and he could already feel the back of his throat tickling with getting the cold himself. He wasn't. but his brain working overtime convinced his body that he absolutely was sick.
Feeling a bit like a deer in the headlights, Jason cleared his throat and tried to find the right words so he didn't make Chrissy feel bad, and didn't sound like an ass.
"Don't touch me," he blurted. Immediately knowing that sure as heck was not the right thing to say. "M-maybe. Wash your hands first. Or change your sweater-- or..." he could feel himself getting more nervous and bit down on his cheek to make sure he didn't stim. His whole body felt stiff, rigid with panic and despair that he couldn't hug his girlfriend.
Instead, he rummaged through his bag and produced a packet of tissues, offering them out but still keeping his distance.
Good now, friend! It's good to see you again this week. I want to send you something I know I've sent before but I think it's helpful to remember! You are more like a garden than you are a machine. You need different things on different days- More sun, or more water. More productive one season and less so another. That's not a flaw. You will flower when your time is here, don't compare yourself to someone else because you're different plants. It's day 138 and I'm cheering for you making it to this page! Celebrate something small, celebrate yourself. Make sure to be kind to yourself, and in the meantime; I'm always here if you need it. I'll see you next week.

vic's friday positivity!
i held on this for a little longer just cause i liked rereading it. i've been beating myself up about not being as active as i use to be. also in love it's been difficult to translate that same feeling into work as well. thank you for the advice my love. as always, i love you.
@havvkinsqueen said: but i feel like we have some kind of connection, right?
"connection? i love the ambiguity here. a connection could be anything from someone you sell pot to and then best friends who usually end up in jail together and beyond," charlie tried to make a joke, but all the same the words of the other made him nervous. a good nervous. which was a nice change of pace. "right. right and left. correct. entirely...-yes, on my end- yes, there's a connection." god, he sucked at this.
