( nico mirallegro, cis male, he/him ) was that Cillian Acadia coming out of the marina ? the TWENTY- EIGHT YEAR OLD is currently an EVENT PLANNER / BARTENDER who is VISITING town. despite his FINICKY personality, he's also pretty GENEROUS. i heard FEELING WHITNEY BY POST MALONE is on a constant loop in his head.
"well i've been looking for someone to put up with my bullshit..."
cillian left ireland when he was seventeen years old, tired of the vast sea of green and the lack of opportunity. sure, he could stay in the small farm town and take over for his parents, but was that really all there was to do in the world? what would he be missing out on if he were to stay? so he left.
he started off living in major cities in america until he realized that there was too much hustle and bustle for him, and maybe he needed something more in the middle of ireland and new york city. finally, he found grandhaven-- but how long will he stay here before he gets tired of it, too?
he's lucky to have supportive parents during his endeavors, supporting him financially until he was able to do so himself. and now that he's a bit of an established event planner in town, he's finally ready to move out of the hotel and into a more... semi-permanent place.
wanted connections
roommate -- someone who is looking to rent out a room to cillian
former clients who he planned events for
someone in town that he's chummy with, and may or may not have a lil crush on. they always run into each other and cillian always blushes
jackson hadn’t been much of a fan of summer until he moved to grand haven – and it was definitely because of the town itself. it was much more pleasant to spend summer in a small town than a bustling city. coming back from a shift at the record store and deciding to kill time before the start of his shift at the café, jack remained a few steps behind cillian and stopped briefly at his utterance. stifling a laugh, he caught up with the other and smiled. “c’mon, this place isn’t that bad. if that was a ploy to get yourself kicked out before you’ve even entered, though... then i’d say you could be onto a winner.”
it took a lot of internal convincing at times for cillian to muster the courage to be social. you would think that an event planner had no problem inserting themselves in these social functions, and it’s true, but to cillian it was only easy to do so for work. his personal social life was generally lacking. a cigarette. that was what he needed before he went in. he was fishing them out of his pocket when he heard the other male’s voice. “s’that right?” he laughed. “bars in america don’t allow cussin’?”
cameron was hanging out at a local pub. after a couple of drinks, she headed outside to have a quick smoke when she saw a familiar face walking by. “well hey there, stranger. what’s going on there?”
his cheeks were still flushed, a quick panic washing over him as he became suddenly very self-aware. the boy was good at ridding the feeling, though, and it helped when he saw the girl come out. “ahh hey there, just, y’know.. waiting to see what kind of shit i’ve gotta say to get someone’s attention.” cillian grinned. “lovely to see you. how ya doing?”
maia smiled fondly at the sound of cillian’s accent, people often told her she had an italian accent when speaking english but she couldn’t tell if that was a nice thing or not. “an event in a landfill…well i do like your parties a lot but i don’t know if i would love that one as much.” she laughed. “nah i just finished my shift and i felt like drinking something so i’ll aceppt your offer.” she smiled as she headed to the stools to sit down.
“mm, i can guarantee you’d love that one. you wouldn’t even know where ya were. in a good way, yeah?” cillian bit down on his bottom lip, following the girl to the bar. the bartender came over rather quickly, one of the reasons why the male loved this bar the most. “i’ll take a jamo ginger, and a sangria for her--” cillian glanced over at maia. “s’that sound alright?”
maia let out a small laugh as he heard him curse again and shrugged. “well you’re at a bar, i’m sure that will be something easy to achieve.” she smiled at him before shrugging. “i think you’re safe, they’re far too interested in their drinks.” she assured him.
“you’re right, except, a gom like meself finds a way to work pretty much.. everywhere?” hell, events could be held in a landfill if he really put his mind to it. still, he turned to maia and held out his hand to motion over to the two empty stools at the bar. “can i buy you a drink, or are ya meetin’ someone?”
maia had just walked in the pub right behind cillian and laughed softly as she heard his murmur. “what’s going on there bud?” she laughed as she nudged his side in a playful manner.
cillian glanced over at the girl, his cheeks tinted pink upon realization. “aw, fuck,” he sighed, covering his mouth. “real smooth of me, eh? naw, i uh... just needed to convince myself to not work today..” the male laughed, gaze dancing from the bar to maia. “how many people do you think heard that?”
ah, summertime, one of the peak seasons for cillian to get his name out there as a planner. hell, in a town like this, it was always peak season. walking around town, the male stumbled upon what looked like a pub. there were folks standing outside sharing cigarettes and basking in the early summer heat. suddenly, it occurred to the bloke that he should probably take some time to enjoy himself, especially if he wanted to network. “aw fuck it,” he thought he murmured, instead, he said it rather loudly in an agitated tone.
Forgive me Is all that you can’t say
Years gone by and still
Words don’t come easily
Like forgive me forgive me
But you can say baby
Baby can I hold you tonight
Maybe if I told you the right words
At the right time you’d be mine
