full name : kinsey cooper
nicknames : kin, kins
age : twenty-three
birthday : july 20, 1998

kinsey grew up in new york. her dad worked multiple minimum wage jobs just to keep a roof over her and her brother’s heads.
as soon as she was old enough, she started working side jobs to help out at home. something she quickly learned she was good at was baking. kinsey would hold her own bake sales, some shop owners would even offer to display them in their stores. she started experimenting with different flavours and somehow it changed from a side job for some extra money into her passion.
as she got older and learned more about the baking world, she learned about chocolate and sculpting chocolate. kinsey began making incredible chocolate sculptures and posting them on the internet. she would get messages asking her to make them for parties and weddings. it eventually became her full-time job.
kinsey has never known very much about her biological mother. after she was born, her mother dropped her off at her dads and never came back
she used to ask bennett all kinds of questions about the woman but he would give vagues answers, if any at all. she could never tell if he was ashamed or hurt when he thought about her.
she’s thought a lot about who her mother could be over the years and has been tempted with the thought of trying to track her down. with how big of a city new york was, it was very possible she was even in or around the city.
“okay okay tunnel vision to the swings.” he laughed looking down at the girl beside him as he gave a nod amused by what she was saying and knew if he focused on her he wouldn’t get distracted by anything else. he thought for a moment before giving another nod, “rollercoasters sound fun and of course we have to play the games. i saw a giant tiger back there and i had my eyes on it before you pulled me off.”
“after that, we can do anything. i just want to have fun.” and be with you. she looked up at him and grinned. “a giant tiger?” she paused and looked back toward where they came from. “after the swings. we’ll come back.” she nodded before starting toward the ride again.
Reign followed along as the girl guided her through the crowd. “The swings really are a classic, like they are nothing spectacular but they just bring back so much neustailja” Reign though back for a moment of times in her crappy childhood where that one day it was like a nice release, where they would go to a theme park and all their issues would disappear. “Which ride do you think is your favorite?”
“they really are super nostalgic. honestly, they’re my favourite, a big part of it due to that.” she explained. “i do love some of the rollercoasters though. oh! and endeavor. what’s yours?” she asked, looking over at the girl. “watch your step, there’s a cord there.”
he smiled down at her interlacing his fingers with his before he tilted his head back just a bit laughing, “okay i’ll give you that but to be fair i get easily distracted so my feet move slower.” he said pointing over at her, “besides the swings what else do we have on the list?” he looked down at the girl knowing he’d follow her to do anything.
“no getting distracted by other rides. we need tunnel vision to the swings.” it was her favourite ride so that was always where she started. “after that, we can do anything. rollercoasters? zenobio looks terrifying but amazing. and we have to play some games for sure!!” she looked up at him excitedly.
nova felt so thankful for kinsey in this moment. even though she felt like life had slowly been going back to normal with what happened at the hotel there were times she had to remind herself she was in the spotlight still and just because that seemed to settle down the media didn’t do such a thing. letting out a breath she smiled looking over at the sketches, “oh thank god i thought i was forever late.” she laughed lightly keeping her voice calm before her eyes found the other girl’s, “these look really good though.” she said her eyes moving around the cafe now letting out a deep breath seeing the last of the people who followed her here slowly dwindling down, “thank you.” she said softly looking back over at the other blonde
“don’t worry, baby. i know you. late is on time.” she teased. “thank you.” kinsey smiled, keeping her eyes on nova as she surveyed the room. she could see the girl physically relax when most of the crowd who had follower her had dispersed. “not a problem at all. are you okay?”
it felt good to get away from work for the business of the city even if it wasn’t that far away it felt good to get out even if it was just for a little while, but it felt especially good when the girl that he was with. a smile tracing his lips he let her pull him after her nodding along with her words chuckling soon after, “okay okay the swings. we’ll start with the swings.” he agreed, “for such a tiny person you move so quick.”
she was already excited to to the park but when anthony agreed to come? it instantly became one of the best days she had had in a while. kinsey let her hand slip from his wrist to his hand as she led him toward her ride. “and for such a tall person, you move so slow.”
one thing about mariposa was that she hated the pier. there was just so many people there, but of course she agreed for kinsey. the two haven’t seen each other in a while and whether she’d like to admit it or not, she adored the girl. plus, she haven’t really left her room in a while, so it was sort of a breath of fresh air. “do you have the whole day planned?” she questions rather amused as she pulls her along.
it had been much too long since she had seen the girl she considered her sister. she knew it wasn’t mari’s favourite place but kinsey had been dying to go so she dragged the girl with her. “not exactly... but i do have a list of things i want to do.” she chuckled.
When Kinsey suggested a fun day at Coney Island, Reign had no hesitation in agreeing. She too had been to coped up with her own work to really begin to enjoy the early days of summer. Kinsey held the girls wrist and guided her to their first ride. “Okay Okay.” She said with a soft chuckle as she was excited for this adventure. “But after we need to go on a real roller coaster and maybe eat fried oreos” she suggested. Reign was a little nervous being in the area without her guide dog zeus, but she also knew Kinsey wouldn’t let her get lost.
“absolutely we do. the swings are just a warm-up, get that adrenaline going.” she chuckled. “and you can’t go to any sort of theme park or fair without deep fried oreos.” kinsey was careful to go slow and warn the girl of anything she could trip over, knowing that without zeus, she was reign’s guide.
“come on!” kinsey gently tugged on the other’s wrist, excited to get to the first ride. “we have to start with the swings!” she insisted. she hadn’t gotten out of her apartment too much in the past couple of months so she was determined to make sure she had fun today. it was the only thing she had looked forward to in a long time. @arconiastarters

location: local cafe not far from the hotel
once she had spotted a familiar face she barely got out the words, ‘sorry, please go along with this’ before leaning over to press a small quick kiss to their cheek then sitting across from the other her hand placed over their on the table, “i’m so sorry i’m late, babe.” she pressed a bright, maybe even overly exaggerated smile to her features. she could almost sense two of the small group with camera’s that had followed her from the studio on her walk back to the hotel still lurking around. her eyes widened a bit almost pleading with the other sat from her, “have you been here long? i swear i tried to rush as soon as i realized, but you know me. can never be on time.” she spoke trying to keep the unease out of her voice.
kinsey was sitting a café, working on some sketches for cake ideas. she had completely zoned out her surroundings until a familiar voice in her ear snapped her back to reality. looking up, she smiled over at her friend. when she saw the look on nova’s face she immediately followed. “oh no, don’t worry about me. i haven’t been here long but i came prepared, just in case.” she chuckled, gesturing to her sketches.
“I was distracted,” he muttered, cheeks turning pink. Back then he’d been more interested in keeping everything he did outside of the house a secret from his dad and sister, quiet and withdrawn from them more often than he would’ve liked. At a certain point he’d barely even been his own person, though he didn’t see it like that. Irritated, Pax dropped the plate on a nearby counter and sighed, shaking his head. “The why isn’t important. They don’t even need to be perfect or anything. Just, like, good enough to prove I’m not a complete fuckin’ waste, y’know?”
“clearly.” she chuckled, remembering the last time they tried to bake together. kinsey ended up doing all the work, as usual. she would have stopped asking him to help but it was always fun. there were times she didn’t see him much at all so she would take the opportunity to spend time with him when she could. “okay, okay. i’ve just never seen you worry so much about cupcakes.” she shook her head. “what flavour were you hoping for?”
nic could tell there was something on the girl’s mind but he also knew when to push on certain things. it went hand in hand with his night job selling the drugs to the kids of the high society and it was also something he thought he was good at. because of this he didn’t press her just yet on what was on that pretty little mind of hers as he lead her towards a bar that was just down the street. get a drink in her then he could try to play therapist if that was what she needed. “soooo,” nic said as he opened the door of the bar for her like the gentleman he was raised to be, “what shall the first drink of a million be tonight? vodka? long island? whisky?”
typically, kinsey wasn’t much of a drinker but i suppose a lot of things change when your best friend dies and no one knows what happened. she just needed a break from thinking about it, overthinking, longing for just one more moment with her, a chance to say goodbye, anything. “ugh, anything but vodka.” she scrunched her nose in disgust. “whiskey sounds good. maybe like a lynchburg lemonade.”
alessandra smiled bright nodding her head it was one of the first times she was excited about something and getting lost in a city with someone she trusts sounded like the best kind of day, “so next corner we turn left lets do this.” she laughed lightly walking beside the other, “but thats the great thing isn’t it? we have a new part to discover.”
kinsey actually felt herself looking forward to the day, which is something she hadn’t felt too often in the past few weeks. as they came up to the next corner, she headed left. “it is! and there will always be new parts to discover!”
there was a brief moment where he paused at her words but took a deep breath nodding his head a bit before clearing his throat, “yeah i’m sure there has.. i’ll make sure to catch up on it before it picks back up. i have a couple of days off coming up soon so maybe i’ll just binge it.” he put on a small smile looking over at her just letting her express how she felt about shows being canceled a light chuckle escaping past his lips, “that one hurt i still couldn’t believe that one.” he nodded before his eyes trailed to the tv for a moment.
“the finale season comes out in the fall i think, so you have lots of time.” she told him. there weren’t a lot of shows that she got that passionate about but brooklyn nine-nine was one of the few. “that’s a wound that will never fully heal. it could’ve gone at least five more seasons.” she shook her head. kinsey pulled her legs up onto the couch and crossed them, turning her body just slightly more toward him.
“So I’ve been trying to make cupcakes, but it’s way harder than I thought. One time they burned, another time I left them in the oven for like an hour and they ended up being some weird bubbling goop, and this last time they looked fine but they tasted like straight salt. And even if I manage to make decent enough cupcakes, how do you frost them so they actually look good and not like some preschooler made them?” He was holding out a plate of the salt-cupcakes now, looking perplexed with a bit of flour on his cheek. “Can you help?”
“of all of the times i’ve tried to teach you to make something as simple as cupcakes, you can’t even make ones that taste good? did you not pay attention at all?!” she teased as she took one of the salty cupcakes off the plate and broke it open, too scared to actually bite into it. “of course i can. but first can i ask why you’re suddenly trying so hard to make cupcakes?”
