"Donât raise your eyebrow at me boy." Alfie pushed Graham away a little before hanging his head as his friend spoke. Graham knew Alfie so well, almost too well. âOf course you donât, and Iâm not bullshitting. I promise.â he added as a side thought, but Alfie 100% couldnât say that he was okay. All he knew was that day by day he was feeling better. âIâm not hiding anything, I swear, and Iâm okay, yeah it sucks but Iâm doing okay.â Okay was the only word to describe it. He wasnât feeling excellent or amazing, just okay, satisfactory. âI remember.â After Tucker had died, it was like Graham became a completely different person and it took a real long time for him to open up again. âTrust me, Graham Iâm telling the truth. Like I said earlier, Iâve dealt with the worst of it already.â and he had to do it practically alone. With Graham gone, Mia dead, his and Julianâs relationship in ruins he didnât really have anyone close to him that he could talk to.  But Graham was back now, and that to him, was all that mattered. âWell, Iâll spare you the gory details. She got a text from her mom and it said that they were being robbed and she told Mia to stay at Malibu and not to come home.â Alfie paused for a moment, trying to remember all the details of the event. âSo Mia freaked, insisted on leaving as soon as possible. So she got in the car, with Miya, Audrey and Mack. All of them drunk, and then she crashed the car.â he stopped again, pausing for a few seconds as he tried to find more words, some strength to finish it.  âThey were all taken to hospital, Mia just⊠there was nothing the doctors could have done for her. She was conscious for a little before she died though. I got to talk to her, so that was something, I suppose.â he shrugged a little, trying to find something less⊠sad to say about it, but it was what it was. âEven if she did survive sheâd be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life and she didnât want that, I donât blame her, or anyone. Iâm not mad any more.â
