It because a competition in seconds

You argued, you fought, the tension was visible from miles away

The others got tired of it. Especially Lee Heeseung, the chief. He hated that you wouldn’t get along at all even if God himself came down from heaven and told them to stop fighting it would only make then compete at who would satisfy God the most

So Heeseung did something only two people could think of. He made you partners, not just for missions and investigations but for every day patrol

When Riki and Yunjin requested the idea he did it almost immediately. Nobody has ever seen him make a decision so quickly

And he didn’t regret it one bit

You bot had some quirks, being competitive was definitely one of them and when you pair two of those kinds of people together, oh it doesn’t go well for anyone in that situation

Especially the criminals you were chasing, whoever had one first won and had to bear the humiliation for the next 6 months of bringing it up

The bad guys were doomed when they saw that Officer L/n and Officer Yang came after them. They were in for a good time

So why was it you hated him? Was it because he was too handsome for you to comprehend and after that welcoming party where you rejected him he started acting like a complete asshole toward you?

It was the perfect idea, ‘enemies to lovers’ as Liz always said when she was out of her small café that she owned. Everyone in the department agreed on the idea when Heeseung asked for feedback

Yunjin and Riki definitely, everyone expected Jake to say yes, he loved seeing Jungwon suffer even when he was one of his closest friends. Eunchae, the rookie didn’t even know you both good enough and agreed for the drama. Others did too

The most surprising person was Sunghoon, god that man might have been the most mysterious officer in town and he loved seeing you suffer, he was like a brother to you. So you didn’t expect it from him atleast

But one day after another things got worse, cooperation was even harder then in the beginning because Jungwon’s egotistical ass needed to be better than you in every criteria

You had to climb over a fence to get to a crime scene? You help him get over and you think hes gonna help you too? Good luck getting over by yourself because he is definitely not gonna help you. Will probably say “your hands are dirty, I ain’t touching that” when you finally get over the maybe 4 meter fence.

Why the hell do people have such big fences anyway? Why not jist build a wall at that point?
