Ros didnât mind the water, though he hadnât tried to go swimming just yet. For most of the time he was at the beach he just lazed around in the sand, watching everyone else enjoy themselves. It wasnât quite like a beach episode; he hadnât seen anyone try to crush a watermelon with a bat yet!
He eventually decided that if this was going to be a worthy beach episode, he would have to make it one. As he walked towards the water, he was nearly blown over by a complete stranger who seemed to be fully unimpressed with the water.
He apologized frantically, but Ros was still Ros.
âItâs fine. I donât normally meet people going to the beach looking for a hand to hold, but I guess I canât judge you. The idea is quite romantic.â
The monsterâs face immediately flushed a shade of blue at the suggestion.Â
âWh-what? No! Thatâs not...â he sighed before he could finish his thought.Â
Even though he had dealt with this sort of taunting from his friends many times, he could not help but find himself flustered. He hoped that he would have been accustomed to such comments after being teased so many times. Yet here he was, blushing, shoulders lifted stiffly to this shoulders.
He lowered his shoulders, attempting to relax, but he still carried the same nervous smile. This was one of the first people he had conversed with in this city. He might as well attempt to make a good first impression. Or at least, a better second impression.
âThatâs not what I meant to do--er, imply. Itâs nice to meet you, uh...?â he raised a brow, anticipating the otherâs name in response
