Shane spun around to face the girl. He couldn’t help chuckling, “That’s quite a grip you’ve got on those nachos.” Dropping his bag, he rushed over to her, to pick up her book. It was the least he could do for scaring her. After all, it really was polite. “I’m sorry. Allow me.” He picked up the book and said, “I never meant to frighten you. It’s nice to meet you, Alison. I’m Shane.” He looked down at the book, reading the title. Tilting his head up to her, he smiled brightly, “You like this series too? I’m only on the second one.” Shane didn’t read as often as he would have liked. Lately, he hadn’t been able to clear his mind enough to focus on a book, but the Game of Thrones series had managed to capture his attention. Perhaps, if she liked talking about books, they could talk about it when he caught up with her. Were book clubs lame? Did people still do that?
