it was warm, uncomfortably so. even though it  was very very much out of character, she lay sprawled out on the grass. if anyone saw her, she’d say she FELL and didn’t feel like getting up.         though this was the case,      she still watched people         as they passed,          watching them as they watched         her– getting chiggers in her hair if she wasn’t careful.
