“You drew this?” Muses the starlet as she points to her work. “It’s really good. I didn’t know you were this talented Aya!”

“Xiu...” Remilia whispers softly to her cat, which prompts her to stop sniffing around the stranger and return to her side. Once she does so she scoops her pet up in her arms. “Sorry, she’s curious.”
; start of our plotted thread.
The radio jingle was interrupted by a very formal sounding woman who advised everyone to be very careful when driving due to sleet. The streets were slippery and the snow had already clung to the ground in some areas, due to the low temperatures, there was a high possibility of ice. And before long, she finished her little warning, bid the listeners farewell and was replaced by a generic sounding pop song that he couldn't recognize.
The waiting office was everything but. There were three chairs around a rather low wooden table that was completely empty, with a stack of old take-out pamphlets in the corner. It was far too warm inside since someone seemed to have turned the air conditioner on full blast. Jung-hoo adjusted his glasses before considering if he even needed them. He didn't. But did his alias? He wasn't sure. The old lady always told him that his mask was more complete without any additional things, like glasses or hats. And for some odd reason he decided to actually listen to her. The black-rimmed glasses were placed into the pocket of his jacket as he sat there for what seemed like an hour already. By starting this assistant job, he'd have full access to HER. And to just see who was responsible for the disappearances around the city.
The money was good, he had been paid half already by one of the families that were looking for their niece. With what he could find online, and what ahjumma had been looking into. There were things that just didn't add up. But nothing was concrete, and the proof or signs were pointing into every single direction. The leads that he had followed so far were all a DEAD END. And it was getting annoying. Not only did he have to travel so far away from his playground. But he had been stuck in this new city for the past two weeks. At least now he was getting somewhere more substantial. Aya Magdalene Gal. There were some things that just didn't make sense, and her medical record seemed like a RED flag.
Even if she proves to be another dead end, he'd have a better look not only at her, but also at other people around town. Look into whoever was responsible for the gruesome killings. It had to be someone that lived either in the town or near it. The killer’s knowledge of the location was enough to make it at least obvious that they were from the area. But still, that didn't really narrow down the search too much.
An older woman, maybe in her early forties walked in, the only person that walked by since he got there. Politely she smiled and told him to follow, and he obliged. He should be scared, but it was far too interesting to be too terrified even seeing the police records and forensic files. He had been in charge of a lot of different jobs, but this was the very first time he was hunting after a killer. Or at least as much as he knew, this would be the first time. Jung-hoo followed the woman down the small hallway and then into another room. Before he could thank her, she had already opened another door and walked out into the other connected room.
"Oh..." He replied seeing his new boss. And main suspect. "I'm here for the job..I mean, today is my first day, I'm your new assistant."
he’s PARANOID; fingers are quick to reach close to his belt, feel the hilt of the knife he’d acquired many weeks ago. his only form of DEFENSE against anyone that may be after him. sweat forms above dark brow, blue hues shift to peek over his shoulder. ❝ --- who’s there ? huh ? i’ve--- uh, i’m ARMED... ❞

Ah, this is an awkward situation in deed . It rouses a blush , hand raising to nervously rub behind his neck . “ Oh ! Apologies ! I... I wasn’t aware , truly . Is there perhaps anything I can do to ease the situation ? ”

“Don’t look at me like that.”
There was temptation to end the sentence without ‘like that’-- his existence is hardly meant to be acknowledged. But she’s eyeing him like she’s trying to figure out how easy it would be to take him apart, or what she would find. It’s something he dislikes because it does not bode well when people look at him like he could become prey. It ends so poorly.
“You won’t get anywhere.”

“ah. hey, sorry. can you bring me a towel?” seems like someone just mistook the female for an assistent.

“Come over here!” Per her demand, the little mechanical mouse comes running back to her side. He then runs up her leg until he ends up perched on her shoulder. As she pets his head she mumbles to the stranger beside them. “I swear, he acts like he wants to be stepped on.”
