THEY MADE A CHATBOX??????
So I wouldnât have this problem if I was a prompt partner but come on Tumblr!
Now how the heck is rping supposed to work on here? Ask rps like the dark times?
So I probably wasnât going to go with a face but them Elisabeth Harnois happened and now the struggle is real
Iâm tempted to just give Amy a human fc so I can actually have gifs and icons to work with... Thoughts?
//casually pops on to mention I met Todd Haberkorn and wasnât reduced to a melty pile of goo like my girlfriend and he signed a Hetalia poster for the girl in front of us and began talking about pasta and I just--
He also serenaded Morgan as he signed her backpack so that was beautiful.
I return from my vacation! And turns out I may be moving to a different state and going to a real life college with dorms and a Dunkin Donuts and everything. And, ya know, more majors and stuff but so many donuts, you guys.
But if I donât answer for a while, thatâs most likely why. Also: the program I want to do requires I study abroad. So this is going to be awesome!

Ludwig looked at Amelia curiously, hesitant to ask for fear of being intrusive. He was careful not to get involved in family disputes, if that is what the issue was, but, at the same time, he hated to see Amelia unhappy. He also believed in the expression âa problem shared is a problem halvedâ.Â
He gave her a small smile.Â
âDefinitely, everybody needs a break once in a while. You have to talk to your boss and arrange one. Iâve had a schedule for breaks as well as work for years - of course, if there is an emergency or if Iâm needed, I can always be called upon. Youâve been working so hard - you deserve a break.â His smile faded a little. âI donât mean to pry into your affairs, but is everything alright between Alfred and you? I wonât get involved, but if thereâs something you need to get off your chest, Iâm willing to lend an ear.â
âAlfred and I?â Amelia paused, thinking for a moment before her confused, straight-faced expression ruptured into a wide smile coupled by a fit of giggles. âIs everything--? Pff--! Oh.â Another pause to realize the man was serious. âOh! Yeah, Iâm pretty sure weâre fine. I mean, a lotâs been going on lately so we havenât talked, but itâs not much different than how it used to be.â
Finally, she calmed herself down enough to her usual self and continued. âDonât get me wrong, Iâm a little miffed we dropped contact, but I canât really blame him. Plus I guess I have a bit of a knack for complaining too much...â
Again, she reached out and held his hand with a warm smile. âThank you. And itâs not prying per se. Despite everything that did- and didnât- go on, youâre one of my best friends. As well as Alâs, so if he mentions something, you should let me know!â
âPsh. Iâd totally be the hottest Naked Cowboy ever. Donât even lie.â He rolled his eyes and grinned, picking her up in a hug. âI missed you, Ames.â
âNot the point, Al!â She giggled, returning the hug. âI missed you too. Donât become a stripper, just call me instead!â
âWhatâs that supposed to mean?!â He pouted, crossing his arms and pushing up the tip of his hat with his thumb.Â
âIt means I leave you for a year, and you end up one piece of clothing away from being the next Naked Cowboy.â She rolled her eyes, moving over to steal his hat off his head. âAnd Iâll have you know this is my hat. So, no.â
âHow do I look?â
â.....No.â
âAmeeeeeliaaaaâŠ.â
//Just kinda stops in the doorway.
âAl, you gotta stop using my chairs to practice your kissing.â

Ludwig smiled, though Ameliaâs touch gave him butterflies. He swallowed, suppressing it. He couldnât let himself get tongue-tied now, not when he was doing as well as he was.Â
âItâs no problem, it happens to all of us. Iâve done that when visiting Feliciano. Heâs had to help me out in the past - hell, Gilbert has had to help me out when he comes along with me to Italy. For one, I freeze up, and his Italian is better than mine, Iâm ashamed to say.â
He was momentarily thrown by the change in the subject, but quickly brought out an answer.Â
âOh, well, Gilbert, of course. I live with him.â He chuckled. âHe does go out a lot, though. Of course, itâs better than sitting around at home all day.â He chanced a grin. People often said his grin was the painfully nervous kind. âIâm making him sound like a freeloader. He does help me a lot. Aside from him Iâm afraid I havenât seen anybody for a drink or anything.â He smiled. âYouâre the first.â
His reply and smile stunned her for a second, taking a second to chide herself for wanting to laugh and actually consider her response. After that, she smiled warmly and looked down to avoid feeling guilty for even thinking about how his face still seemed strained, and wanting to giggle when he tried to just offer a nice grin.Â
âWell thatâs one more than me, so youâre better off than I am.â She offered, shaking her head. âI canât even use the excuse that Iâd have to fly over to see anyone, since I havenât even bothered trying to get in touch with Al.â Her smile faltered, gaze saddening slightly before she thought to resort to her usual, saccharine smile she had been putting on for meetings and the like. âAt least summer is finally coming, right? Maybe Iâll finally get a break and can escape the heat for a while.â

A glance allowed Ludwig to notice Amelia silently begging him for assistance as the waiter hovered expectantly by their table, and so he took charge, picking a cake from the menu.
âTwo apple strudels, please,â he said. There was so much to choose from, but without knowing Ameliaâs preferences, to nuts or fruit or whatever, he decided it was best to play safe and choose a generally liked cake.Â
The waiter smiled and asked if he wanted cream. Ludwig said he would, and the waiter asked, with a polite nod to Amelia, if the young lady would also like some. Ludwig smiled and repeated the question to Amelia in English.
She smiled and nodded, tension seeming to lessen as the waiter went to go fetch what Ludwig had ordered for them. Despite once priding herself on being friendly and outgoing, the recent time in seclusion did a number on her confidence around people. Fortunately Ludwig had always seemed the same way, and she offered him a smile and pat one of his hands which rest within her reach.
âLud, youâre my hero. Sorry I just kind of... froze, I guess.â She searched for a change of subject, one reasonable enough for him without jumping into a ton of gossip or talk about work. âSo, um, have you been in touch with your brother or anyone lately?â

Ludwigâs smile faded a little and his spirits took a dip. âI deserve itâ, he thought, before offering a small smile. He wasnât about to let self-pity get the bet of him again. He had wallowed in it enough already.
âI wanted to see you,â he said honestly. No overly sentimental gushing. Just the honest truth, straight out. Germans were known for their straight-forwardness, and Ludwig was no exception. Besides, there was no need for it. âItâs been so long, I thought it was about time.â
On being asked about himself, Ludwig sighed, his smile lingering.
âAh. Tiring. Very tiring. With the British elections and strife in Europe and elsewhere, Iâve been run ragged. But weâve had some fun, too. Recently we had a big festival in Berlin celebrating all the minority cultures in the city. That was fun. I had to drag Gilbert from the big drums and I couldnât stayed at the food stalls all day. I would think you have a similar thing in America, ja?â
She was relieved by his honesty. As much as she knew her past self would have wanted a long-winded confession of how his life was empty and lonely without her, she had snapped back into reality and out of her rom-com idea of romance. His answer finished and she found herself covering her mouth with a hand, so her laughter wouldnât accidentally cut him off.
âAll the time!â She cheered, smiling and quieting down slightly as some people around her gave her sideways glances. Right. Public area, respectful levels. âWell, at least some of the time. Different cities can have cultural festivals that are fun to go to. Nothing so large scale that Iâve personally been able to go to, though.â
A comfortable silence settled in for a short time, the sounds of the street and breeze that found its way through the buildings around them filling the space rather than unneeded small talk. A waiter came then, Amelia looking to Ludwig for help. She honestly hadnât been paying any attention to the menu, and hadnât a clue what she wanted nor what sounded good. So, maybe he would take the hint (in the form of her looking like an absolute deer in the headlights) and decide for her? She could only hope-- or ask for more time to decide.
