Honestly one of the scariest things I think about Nagare is the fact that his manipulation isn’t even on purpose, he doesn’t even intend to actively manipulate people with the system he created: It’s that he sees it as a means to an end, and it’s the basis of the fair game (world) he wants to create for everyone. His intentions are so pure and childlike (which is also dangerous tbh) and I love that about him, and I wish that the series had actually touched on it more rather than to have the entire cast just brand him as a villain and have him as well as Iwa killed off.

Whenever Nagare accesses the Fifth Sanctum, his body experiences a colossal amount of pain that would normally cripple a normal person, as what was once a heart pumps pure energy through his veins. In a sense, Nagare’s entire being becomes energy itself, and that transformation from matter to energy is excruciating.

It is only thanks to both his immense amount of resolve and the fact that his pain receptors are not as high as they could be due to him having ‘died’ once, that he is the only individual capable of tolerating this transition.
