Log:
Studied more environment and a bit of polity.
Watched Dhurandar for the first time
Currently travelling
Made the June spreads for my bujo
Day 84 to Day 90:
Log:
A tough week but I made some progress.
Studied environment and ecology it is very dense. Lots of facts and terms to remember.
Made some more progress on optional.
Started a workout routine, today is the third day in a row I have exercised. Small wins. I feel better already.
Have been religiously reading the newspaper 2 hours a day. Although lately I am wondering if I should make notes as well. Let us see.
24th was the day of Prelims this year. I saw the paper afterwards. I need to lock in and go twice as hard as I am going right now.
Will post more often starting June, May has been a bit meh lol.
Day 78 - Day 83: 17 May to 22 May
Log:
A slow week overall, but it was my birthday in between so understandable. I decided to take a bit of time to ruminate over the direction I am going in
The dates of the exam I am preparing for have been released. I do not have as much time as I would like. So efforts must be redoubled.
As for the past five days, I have read the newspapers everyday for 2 hours. Additionally I started the modern indian history NCERT and I also continued my progress with Ancient India NCERT
More importantly, I have now a clearer target of things to do so I am hoping to turn that clarity into action.
Day 76 - 77: 15 and 16 May
Log:
Read 6 chapters from ancient India NCERT. Completed one pager notes of a few.
Its been an interesting couple of days non study wise. That is all.
Read two newspapers a day as an experiment. I think I will stick with it.
Day 71 - Day 75: 10 May - 14 May
Log:
Been a busy few days, dealing with some unexpected life stuff.
Watched 5 lectures of Ancient medieval and culture, read all of those chapters from NCERT.
Read newspaper everyday for an hour minimum
Also completed a couple of lectures on environment
Health going downhill though, hopefully improves in the coming days. I am tired.
Day 67 - Day 70: 6 May to 9 May 2026
Log:
More life admin but I managed to watch 6 lectures - 2 on polity, 2 on economics and 2 on environment
Additionally, made one pager notes for NCERT ancient India chapters 1 - 3.
IPL is becoming interesting which is NOT ideal for me. I need to focus on studying.
Day 63 - 66: 2 May 2026 to 5 May 2026
Travelling. The heat is insane. Also lots of life admin.
But I managed to squeeze in a couple of lectures. Also revised some polity. And newspaper reading has been regular if not exhaustive
I also decided that going for history optional with an engineering background while majority of history toppers have been history graduates means that I cannot just go for it alone. I will need guidance. Lets see how that pans out. I am hopeful.
Day 62: 1 May 2026
Log:
Completed a lecture on note taking, a lecture on ecology and environment and started Vedic Age in history optional.
Read the newspaper for 1 h 17 min. Studied for 6 hours.
A productive day.
May bujo spreads
Went with a different layout this time around and quite pleased with how it came out. I have planned major schedule changes and so needed different layout to more efficiently manage my planning.
I have also started a studygram with the same name - notesbeforenoise. You can find the link in my bio.
May my May be productive lol
Day 61: 30 April 2026
Attended a session on notemaking.
I also completed my May bujo layout. Its gonna be a hectic month. I also created a studygram.
Revised archaeology and sources of history from Upinder Singh.
Gonna have to log 8 hour study sessions in May
Day 59 and 60: 28 and 29 April 2026
Log:
Completed a couple more lectures on environment. Revised some history.
Made plans for May. So much to do, its going to be a real test.
Might switch newspapers, not sure.
Day 57 and 58: 26 and 27 April 2026
Log:
Started studying Ecology. Quite interesting.
Also did a bit of revision and read the newspaper.
Day 54 to Day 56: 23 April to 25 April
Log:
Busy busy busy.
Started environment, continued with Polity.
Completed Chalcolithic age and revision for history optional
Also revised economics - 3 lectures.
Day 53: 22 April 2026
Log:
Completed an optional lecture. Halfway through Chalcolithic cultures.
Also completed a bit of polity backlog and designed an excel tracker to track optional progress.
I want to make an automated dashboard which just outputs the things to do for the day based on progress so far and targets
I feel as if that is just an elaborate scheme by my brain to procrastinate
Day 50-52: 19 to 21 April
Log:
Travelling then health issues.
Managed to complete 2 polity lectures and one on history optional. Also set up my study space and bought a huge India map.
Still suffering from health issues but better than before so hopefully I will be more productive from today (22nd)
Day 49: 18 April 2026
Log:
Completed a lecture on Chalcolithic cultures and read about them from the textbook.
Also read the newspaper for an hour.
Also completed the art for May cover for my journal. Theme: Darkrai, one of my favourite pokemons
