[as Aphrodite steps into the office, she finds it trashed. Papers thrown about, figurines the kids made broken, it looked like a typhoon ran through the office]

[in one corner sat Poseidon, his head down and tucked under his arms. Not yet noticing the visitor]

[She softens at the sight, and slowly she starts to approach him, lowering herself down to his level.]

Poseidon.

[his head shoots up as she approaches, and she can see he'd been crying]

[She looks him up and down.] Clearly you need it.

[he lets out a small whine as he curls back in on himself]

You don't need to see me in this pitiful state. I do not understand why that mortal thought it was a good idea to defy me and let you in.

[he huffed as he felt her trying to pull him closer, refusing to budge before he felt a weight at his side. Peeking up from his arms, he could see that she'd moved to sit beside him]

What, don't think I'm a horrible monster?

And of course I am a mess, I thought my past was behind me.

A horrible monster? You? No.

[She shakes her head with a sigh.]

Some things will always come back to haunt you, unfortunately.

[Poseidon's body relaxed as he leaned against Aphrodite, trying his best not to cry]

So I see you haven't come to yell at me like the others.

Why would I? No, I came to check on you. I do care for you, y’know.

[he gives a dry chuckle]

That is good to hear. At least a few of you aren't appalled by my past actions.

[he lifts 2 letters that were slightly crinkled from the tight grip he previously had on them. Upon closer inspection, Aphrodite found that they were letters from Orange and Rio]

As much as I wish for the mod to listen to me, I do thank them for not throwing these away when I was angry.

OOC: (btw! The other day I decided that my redesign of Poseidon would be because of these events, and that he turned into that form while he was in the Mariana trench (he originally just had human legs))
