Hi I’m back after a long hiatus and now in med school! It’s been a long journey and I can’t believe I’m finally here. These are my notes from the first week of med school... a whole 3 weeks ago! I’ve been taking notes like crazy but I’m so lazy about taking pics and uploading them... so they’ll definitely be a delay my uploads. I’m excited to get into a routine and get some patient interaction soon. Stay tuned for updates!

drake had released scorpion recently and “in my feelings” has become a hit. i can’t walk 2 meters without hearing someone singing the opening lines (not that i’m complaining, champagne papi has always been a fave of mine!) my main focus last week (spread pictured above) was hustling, and i barely had any time for myself. thankfully, this week had two suspensions which gave me a chance to sleep in a little. 

also, happy birthday to my boo, @obliveiate !! i love u so much, em, and i’m not gonna remind you of your age HAHA. i miss you :-(

I haven’t studied for my class at all since the last midterm and I can tell that from my posts on here LOL OOPS the next midterm is in 24 hours

I’ve been so drained from work every day and that leaves very little energy left for much else yikes but we’ll pull thru somehow

it’s okay to have days where you don’t study at all if you need a mental and/or physical break.

it’s okay to prioritize other things in your life over school, if they’re more important to you and benefit you moreso.

it’s okay to fail a test or get a bad grade or get on the bad side of a teacher; your academic career will never go perfectly, but that doesn’t mean it’s spoiled forever, and that you will go nowhere.

it’s okay to not be accepted into programs, classes, clubs, or anything of the sort. just keep going forward, and new & better things will come along.
