Alain de Botton paints a romantic philosophical world in his book “On Love”
“Perhaps it is true that we do not really exist until there is someone there to see us existing, we cannot properly speak until there is someone who can understand what we are saying in essence, we are not wholly alive until we are loved.” ― Alain de Botton, On Love
Here’s something to get through, which left me wanting a whole lot more.
Alain de Botton is such a skillful literary scientist. He wrote about plenty of complex ideas and circumstances of relationships, mixing fiction, philosophy and creative writing to come up with such a thick, substantial form of incredible literary piece. It was a delightful experience to be exposed to the author’s prolific philosophical writing.
Would love to know your thoughts about this, or how you yourselves desire to get through it as well.
