D&D literally said that Dany’s madness was foreshadowed in season one when she had a “chilly” response to Viserys dying. Viserys, the brother who mentally, physically and sexually abused her for years. Viserys, who sold her to a war chief and who, in his own words, would have let thousands of men rape her if it would get him any closer to the iron throne. We’re supposed to believe Dany was a cold, crazy bitch for not breaking down in tears when her abuser was killed in front of her. Words can’t express my disgust.

One of the central values of Daenerys character has been mercy and justice for others. Like yeah she’s fucked up but at the end of the day she’s tried to be merciful unlike Viserys or her father. She’s saved the slaves, stayed in mereen to help stabilize them, she joined the fight against the night king.

It’s such fucking bullshit to think she’d throw it away at the last second when she was already winning. She won. There was no need.
