I really avoid posting on reddit as much as possible. As far as open-mindedness goes, there's very little to find there. Perhaps it's because I no longer see any point in online discourse and arguments that I no longer respect it at all. My biggest qualm is the "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality, an admittedly human perception of duality, that makes insecure people feel like they are the judge of you and your thoughts, enabled by the up/downvote system. Another mindset it cultivates is the enlightened centrist that thinks they are above the political left and right, above duality, while still just taking a place on the same spectrum, except now they don't have to critically about anything happening around them, because "I'm better than you all" will suffice.
It's no coincidence the age of aquarius and Chinese global hegemony are happening at the same time
