Hey God... Take my hopes, take my dreams, align them up with you; till I see the world and everything from a different view.
Take the fear in me and fade it to the background. Light a fire that will never burn out.
I want to reach for God the way I reach for my phone. When I’m bored, when I’m uncomfortable, when I need answers or entertainment, when I’m lonely and need someone to talk to.

You *can* get through the rest of winter
The winter blues are a real thing.
The season’s days are shorter, darker and colder, and scientifically* it’s not abnormal to find yourself in a funk. Yes, winters can be cruel, but the seasons can also give us hope. There’s never been a winter where a spring didn’t follow and no matter how many tree limbs grow bare, they always bloom a few months later.
What can I pray for you?
Can you please pray that I am unafraid in serving Him? Sometimes I worry that my fears and anxieties are going to hold me back in what His plans are for me.
When I think about this stuff, I can't help but tear up. You see, I am not a Christian, I'm only now trying to follow God. And it's hard and giving things up is hard. and I'm scared and tired.
Hi friend,Try thinking of it less in terms of what you’re giving up, and more about what you’re receiving. In following God–in becoming a Christian–you are receiving eternal life. You’re receiving grace, you’re receiving love, you’re receiving His Kingdom. It’s pretty big stuff and is just… amazing to think about, really. I know it’s all probably very overwhelming now though, so let me just say that I am so, so proud of you for trying to follow God. It’s definitely not easy, but it’s worth it. And the fact that you tear up when thinking about it means you’re probably already very invested and are moved by it all emotionally and spiritually. I’ll be praying for you as you begin your walk with God and please feel free to keep me updated. (Also, if you want, I’m intrigued as to what/who happened to start you on this path.)It’s okay to be tired, and it’s okay to be afraid. Those are very normal feelings. Just know:Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. - Joshua 1:9All my love,S.
