Another project finished!
Finally finished the beanie meant for a childhood friend. Her birthday is in 6 days! Now, I just have to figure out how to get it to her.

Sometimes, I see people’s engagement photo shoots, and I wonder if we maybe should’ve done that. Then I remember 2 things; 1) We would be so awkward. 2) I am absolutely not photogenic.
Decided to start a playlist on YouTube for old movies. Yall… if the movies aren’t widely popular, they’re generally free with ads on YouTube! So far I have all but one of the Tremors movies saved, Convoy & Frogs are also saved there. I will be searching for more favorites to add.
I’m re-watching the entire Tremors franchise and the first one is a lot more relatable than I remember it being. Earl makes a comment that they need to find real jobs instead of being handymen… Val makes a very good point. That whole interaction is so relatable because I am part of a self-employed business. I am technically self-employed and I work alongside someone, and this interaction between Val and Earl is so real. Val makes a point of, “are you sure you want to give up the personal freedom?” It is a very common question to myself. Holy crap, I forget that the cinema from when I was a kid was a lot more based in reality, even if it had fantasy. There was always some sort of practicality to it, instead of just magical fantasy all the time.

Breakfast: Pigs in a blanket! We purchased some chicken breakfast sausage over the weekend. It was okay standalone, but this way? It was so good!! Maybe, I’ll use this brand like I would the lil’ smokies? They have a similar taste, so why not?!
Upon the viewing of propaganda & fear mongering through mainstream social media: I deleted Instagram’s app again. I’m keeping it only until Bubs moves in. I can’t keep doing this crap. We live in such a dystopia, and I genuinely can’t cope with how the world is becoming. I’ll do what I can, where I can. Beyond that? The good Lord is gonna have to take over. Only God knows how this is gonna end. I just gotta keep my head high in faith that everything will be okay by His hand & will.
Update: Bubby has agreed that Discord is a viable option for an alternative mode of communication. Instagram is officially deleted.

Newest mission: Watch as many pre-2010s films as possible. Deep dive into the nostalgia. Enjoy the cinema that no longer is held at the standard that it used to be. Be unafraid to enjoy the funky effects & sometimes silly music.
Side mission: Go back to listening to music I grew up on. Deep dive into those childhood memories. Honor the dead by dancing to their favorite songs. Sing to my heart’s content. Enjoy the funny, the silly, the happy, the sad, the angsty. Enjoy all of that old music.
The legends are dying now. They have been for a while. Gotta appreciate the legacies they’ve left behind.
Minor life update of the week: fiancé & I have been cleaning what will be our room. Since the room was utilized as a storage room previously, it’s still largely a mess. However, we’ve made a huge dent in it & we are soon to be looking at paints! Crazy, I’m telling you!
Random discovery: if you have no hair ties and you have a sock that has no mate or has holes in it… You can cut a strip of fabric out of said sock and use it as a hair tie. I have a set of fingerless gloves that I made out of socks, and I lost the other glove. So, I decided to take the very very end of that and cut a strip of fabric off of it. That strip of fabric made a very good hair tie that is not super binding on my hair. There is literally no hair pulling right now. I wonder if this fabric would work OK for scrunchies…
I think this may end up being another crafting experiment.
