Ah hello! Thank you, I’m also glad to be back here! To answer your questions, of course I still plan on opening my ask box for requests, though that would be for a little later, because I’m currently working on the requests I have in my inbox right now.

I’m definitely going to be answering old asks as well. This blog is very dear to me after all, as well as my first followers whom I talked with just as I was starting this blog. I also have tons of pending matchups. Even though there’s a chance the people who requested these aren’t following me anymore or aren’t around Tumblr anymore, I just can’t delete the asks. Those include the letters which I still owe a few people from last year (I’m really sorry aaahh!)

It might take a while because I’m trying to work out all these requests in my phone and it’s quite inconvenient. But everything is going to be answered!

Normally, I accept scenarios and headcanons. Sometimes, I open the ask box for matchups when I feel like doing them. I also give out KnB letters from time to time, which I love doing so I do this event more regularly, so watch out for that~

To check the status of the ask box, just go to the STATUS page which you can see at the side bar, so you will know which types of requests are currently open or closed.

I have a total of 27 asks in my inbox right now, so it might take a while to answer all of them and start accepting scenario and headcanon requests again, but I’m going to be opening the KnB Card Event soon!

There’s no special event this time, but I’m giving away KnB cards again! I wanted to do this for White Day but I hadn’t got the chance to, and it’s a hassle to wait for another event, so let’s just do this now! ;D

If you hadn’t participated before, this is how it works. Submit to me a letter addressed to a Kuroko no Basket character of your choice. And then, I’m going to send you a reply letter written from that character’s POV. Since the card you’re going to get is based from your own written one, you can talk about anything you want. Just no NSFW stuff :)

BLOG UPDATES

Hey lovelies! Guess who’s just decided to come back. First of all, I want to apologize for going on an unannounced hiatus. There’s just too much stuff going on. But I’ve never thought of abandoning this blog or my followers. Besides, the pull of KnB in my life is much too strong for me to resist. Actually for the past few weeks or maybe even months, I’ve been meaning to get this blog running again, but I didn’t want to just do it on a whim without thinking it through, especially since I have my doubts in my commitment to keeping this blog active. Not because I don’t want to, but because I barely have the time. I have a maximum of three hours for myself in a day, and that’s already pushing it (meaning if I’ll sacrifice at least two hours of sleep. If I rest early, then I get one hour to work with one request, which, honestly, isn’t enough given my slowness). Then again, immersing myself in my fandom has always been my stress reliever. And I’m freakin’ stressed everyday. So I thought I’d give this writing blog a shot again. I’m really sorry for being an unreliable admin (lol).

So what’s gonna happen now? I’m going to do the KnB cards again. And yes, I have pending requests in my inbox right now. Don’t worry, I intend to do them all. But I really get a high in writing these KnB letters; they’re my favorite thing to do. There’s just a different feel when it’s personal, you know? :) I used to receive the same letters before and I still have them now. And they never fail to make me feel better just like they did the first time I received them. I hope to give this same comfort to the precious KnB fans who might need them. So if you want a personalized letter from the KnB baes, watch out for the guidelines I’m gonna post in a while.

As for the pending requests I have, I’m going to work on an unfinished draft and hopefully post it this week (it’s a Murasakibara scenario). Including that, I have four scenario and tons of matchup requests to do. I’ve had them sitting in my inbox for more than a year, and some of the people who asked them probably aren’t around anymore, but I still intend on doing them just in case they decide to come back, or they’ve been here all this time patiently waiting. I’m also doing them because I don’t want to disappoint you guys any more than I feel like I already have.

There’s also going to be some changes in the rules. But I’m going to make a post on that after I finish writing all the scenarios, which will be done after the KnB cards.

May I have a matchup please? I’m a 4ft11 straight female with really long brown hair and green eyes. I love gaming and cross stitch. I generally go with the flow but I have a short temper and can have terrible mood swings. I also get bored really easily and don’t have a lot of patience. Hello! Me again, I would like to add a bit more information if that’s okay please? I’m quite lazy and don’t mind staying at home, additionally I also have a super weak immune system so I’m ill a lot, especially in the winter. I love animals and I am way too attached to my pet ferret. I suffer depression and severe anxiety due to my dad being an asshole (which doesn’t help with trusting people) and having a housefire along with a few other reasons but despite this I try to stay positive. I like watching sports but don’t play them, I do however do horse riding. Sorry if that’s too long, thank you!

Takao is one of the warmest and most welcoming people you could ever meet, so his personality suits yours best. He has lots of patience and tolerance, so as long as it's not something bad, he's basically very accommodating to almost anything.

He deals with your temperamental self just fine. Whether you have run out of patience, are angry, or are simply not feeling welcoming, he tries to lighten the atmosphere by cracking a joke or prodding you with his senseless yet amusing blabber, which eventually (and easily) turns your mood around because it's hard for you to resist Takao and his absolute goofiness. But he has a mature side to him as well. He is very observant, and can be quite perceptive to those around him, so he knows when to take a situation seriously. Other times when you don't feel like saying anything, he would just silently hold you, so you won't have to feel alone; while you try to calm the storm inside of you on your own, Takao's presence around you lets you know that, through it all, he supports you from the background. He has the patience to wait your mood swings out and even live through them. Always, for you, he can adjust himself accordingly.

Your sarcastic nature is something he finds amusement in. Sometimes when you give a comment, whether intentional or off-handed, he would burst out laughing. He loves teasing you for it, prompting you to make a counter-attack, and this ends in a playful banter between the two of you.

He doesn't mind staying in when you don't feel like doing anything. Since it's Takao, you can never run out of fun things to do to keep yourselves busy and entertained even at home. He's really happy and gets so fired up whenever he sees your face among the crowd, cheering for him. More than once he'll look your way, giving you a wink or a thumbs-up, and maybe it merely looks like him being playful, but he's actually really grateful and appreciative of the fact that you are there to support him. It's his pleasure—and an honor for him to be the one—to take care of you every time you get sick, and he very willingly takes on the job himself, especially if there's no one presently around to help you. This guy is creative and spontaneous, so you can expect out-of-the-blue, unusual yet touching things to be done for you. He would go out of his way to provide you with everything you need, to make you feel better not only physically but emotionally as well. He spoils you rotten during these times; he doesn't want you feeling lonely when you're sick.

Being a generally cheerful person, at the same time a compassionate and caring one, Takao wants to make sure that your emotional well-being is one of his absolute top priorities. He may not be that much knowledgeable about depression or anxiety, but, in his own way, he tries his best to help you cope with them. He does things for you—sometimes together with you—and by doing things differently in an entirely different but interesting setting, you begin to see the world in a new, and possibly positive, perspective. He doesn't create elaborate plans or resort to drastic measures that might make you feel uncomfortable or be more aware of your predicament. Not someone to laze around or be idle, Kise is the type who likes to be constantly in action, to make something (worthwhile) of himself and his time, to be productive. Even as a first year middle schooler he was already working, showing how quite independent and ambitious he is, so he really likes that you yourself are talented and have lots of interests.

Kise has so much passion for basketball that he’s really happy and very thrilled that you’re not only enjoying his sport, but you’re able to play it as well. You two would often engage in one-on-one matches—and more than you cheering from the bleachers during his official games, to be able to play together, to share basketball with you in this way is one of the reasons why he cherishes these moments the most. It’s nighttime. The only source of light in the otherwise pitch dark bedroom is the moon, its radiance shining through the glass windows. It’s been a long day, so you and Ryouta are lying on your sides and facing each other on the bed sleeping, supposedly, because your idiot of a boyfriend is at it again.

“I’m not doing anything,” he counters softly, not the least bit defensive.

You can’t contest that. Of course he’s not doing anything, except actually doing something may have been less heart-racing than doing nothing but zoning in on you. You feel yourself coming undone each and every time he looks at you this way. It’s quite different from his usual teasing ones, where he’d stare unabashedly until it’s as if you’d combust or until you hit him with a thrown paintbrush. Not rarely, you would catch him, all seriousness and sharpness and gentleness, just plainly looking at you, as if he wants to consume all of you into him. To drown you in him.

Or maybe he’s the one who wants to drown himself in you.

“I really like your eyes.”

“I know. You’ve told me many times.”

He briefly chuckles, the sound deeper and huskier in the silence of the night, sending warm tingles inside and raising goosebumps all over your body. A sigh escapes past his lips. “I’m so tired today, _____. The photo shoot took the better part of the afternoon and all evening, and I’m just so damn drained of energy I might ditch tomorrow’s school altogether,” he lightly whines, but the clear exhaustion in his face and voice somehow negates the effect and you just feel for him, although the mention of skipping classes has you looking reprovingly at him, to which he only grins in response. “That’s why,” he grabs a lock of your hair and caresses it between his long fingers, “could you at least allow me a moment of respite? Somehow, looking at you, just being like this already relaxes me.”

A warm feeling settles in your stomach. Kise Ryouta is not a simple person in any sense, he is a brightly shining star; it is an exaggeration to say that he finds the most joy in the simple things. Except if they have something to do with you. And you are deeply moved by the fact that in spite of the extravagance of the life he leads, it’s always you whom he always searches for and finds contentment in.

You reach out a hand to stroke his hair as you offer him a small, reassuring smile. “Go to rest.”

Despite your words, neither of you turns to sleep, only gazing sleepily at each other’s eyes. As Ryouta stares unwaveringly at the crystal-like orbs, now the deep navy color of the ocean under the moonlight thanks to the darkened bedroom, he knows he’s fine; he’s finally reminded once again of the feeling, of the one thing he has often associated with big, blue eyes—

Hey guys! If any of you remembers me from my ONE scenario post, this blog is formerly known as kisekinowritings. I've decided to change to seasons-of-knb because I found out that the previous name was, coincidentally, an actual KnB writing blog from a few years back that's already long deactivated. Surprised, surprised? I, for one, am. If you're familiar with mentioned writing blog, I want to clarify that my current blog and the original kisekinowritings are independent from each other and are in no way connected. That said, I do respect all writing blogs, especially those dedicated to my precious Kuroko no Basuke; deactivated or existing, old or new - y'all precious. (≧◡≦) ♡

So now, I'm seasons-of-knb (Yoroshiku!!) and I'd like to thank everyone for supporting me and this blog through your follows, likes, and reblogs. I know I haven't been active at all lately, sumimasen. I had some slight medical issue, on top of crashing my laptop, destroying my means of typing your requests. I'm currently using my old laptop, and it's ancient, but in the meantime it'll get me by. Please excuse the very slow updates! I'm currently working on a Murasakibara request. I'm a slow writer so it'll take some more time before it gets posted, but please look forward to it. o(≧▽≦)o

Now, for the main part (ooh I think you'll love this!), I've been thinking that since I'm taking a while getting to your requests, and I don't really want this blog to remain dead while I take my sweet time writing, I've decided to start accepting matchups. I know it's more work and it might slow down my writing process even more, but I think matchups would be less time-consuming, so I could work on them when I need breaks from writing a scenario. That said, matchups won't be a part of this blog the way it is for scenarios and headcanons, as the former would only be done occasionally. For this first opening, we'll kick-start this with 10 matchup requests :)
