frank had been listening and observing pandora for a bit, he didn’t dare ask what was in the crate, it wasn’t his business, it just didn’t smell great, but he had smelt worse. being an auror was a weird job, the cases that he ended up going on caused for a lot of interesting situations and he had found himself in the middle of nowhere plenty of times with animals that left quite the stench. he had smiled shaking his head. “i’m not judging,” he says with a shrug. “you have to do what you have to do.” he had understood that, he had worked summer jobs back in hogwarts, not that he necessarily needed to but he had been saving up for a flat for when he would eventually start auror training and it had served him good to save up all those years ago.
“i believe you.” he says, shoving his hands in his pockets. “i was actually just coming in here to browse around.” frank had always loved herbology, his own professor one saying that if ever found auror training to not work out he have an excellent career as a herbologist.
“very right!” pandora nodded in agreement. her money problems started after graduating hogwarts. getting cut from her inheritance for refusing to marry a betrothed was… very medieval, if she had to be honest. typical pureblood family and their blood purity ideals. not that pandora ever gave a shit about it, she was appalled by the idea of marrying someone that was ‘handpicked’ for her. it wasn’t even worth the effort to know her betrothal as they were most likely some snobby pureblood.
at an instant, her customer service voice appeared with a signature friendly smile. “oh, yeah? anything i can help with?” after a few years of odd jobs, pandora had perfected the star-worthy customer service behavior. sure, there were old witches who screeched at her, causing her patience to wear thin and a hex at the tip of her tongue. but at the end of the day, she has enough money to live off from so it was worth it, verbal punches and all. “i can count the amount of times i’ve helped out around here with one hand but this place never changes, so, i’m good help,”
