The End of the Programme!
Well this is a sad blog post, it's the end of my time as a Windows 8 Student Brand Ambassador. But my gosh, hasn't it been fantastic?!
In August 2013, I obtained a role after a tricky online application and a Skype interview. It was one of those jobs that you'd be checking your emails for every 5 minutes ultimately, I really wanted it! As a student looking to go into marketing, I thought that a role like this would provide invaluable skills to progress into such a career. Not only this, but having a multi-national corporation such as Windows on my CV was always going to be a winner, right?
Over the past 11 months, I've learnt SO much about Windows and more so, showcased such knowledge to the students of the University of Nottingham. Competent with Office, OneDrive, Internet Explorer etc my life has been made a whole lot easier. The support we've had is also incredible, receiving monthly giveaways to help us encourage students to talk to us about the Windows products.
It truly has been a rewarding experience and this blog post is just a little insight into why you should apply for the 2014 - 2015 programme! If you're interested, contact me on either here or Twitter @abbiehollebone and I will happily give some advice and where to apply.
Big thanks to David Weeks, Ali Hammer and the Windows Student Ambassador Team, it's been a great experience!
For the last time,
Abbie
